That is roughly how much we'd need to get the single to gold status (5,000 copies) in New Zealand.

We'll just have to get 5000 Kiwis to buy the danged thing then Shane. Of course if the sheep would put their hooves in their pockets he'd sell a million easy .. lol :)

I don't know, if it's a good idea to post email addies here.
They're all exposed to spambots now.

If you folks want a 'collector thread' for your promo actions, someone post it and I'll make it sticky.

Thanks R caryl you wanna start this thread

What are spambots? surely these email addies are already showing on the web on the radio sites so they'll be no more at risk on here?

Hi! Been away from the computer.

R, I'm SO sorry. We had no idea about the spambots. We've all been encouraging people throughout the week to send in email addresses!! Just what these radio stations need--just like the rest of us--MORE SPAM!! Sorry. Wish we had known it earlier!

Well, back to work. Meat's music playing in the background this morning...no better 'picker upper' than that to keep you going!! Can't wait for the time when he'll be playing on the radio here, too, again!!

Talk with you all later...Keep up the great work, everyone!!

Yes, I am 'sorry' about the spam too. I had just finished mailing everyone on your list, thanks Caryl, when I read about this.

Let's move this record up in the UK top 40!

Hi, Tim! Thanks for coming by again! How are you doing?

Are you, like Mariella, getting excited about the 23rd?? How many ML concerts have you been to? I don't think I've ever asked you that before.

Yes, I remember something about NOTP--you went to some of those, didn't you? But will this be your first full concert?

I know you have mixed feelings about CHSIB, but are you still working toward getting it heard in your country? I hope so, Tim. It really deserves it!! More than that, Meat deserves it, you know?!

Is Michel going to the concert, too?

Ah, Tim!!! Listen, if you love Meat and I know you do, and HE loves this album and we all know he does, THEN you gotta work for it!! For the people who are important to us in our lives, we have to support them and help them. Right?

Both the single and the album are available there now, aren't they? Come on, Tim. You and Michel even have a terrific website you could be using to encourage people to buy CHSIB!!!

What makes me think that Mariella has already had this discussion with you??

Okay! Let me ask you this--in code, sort of--will there be a new site addition after the 23rd?? PLEASE let me know. Okay?

Cerysmeatloaf--welcome!! Glad to see you! But very sorry to hear that there are no singles in your area of Wales!! Please, if you can, keep contacting your local shops and asking about it. This way, they'll start thinking that a LOT of people want it (and they WILL, once it's available) and they'll begin to stock it! Keep trying. Okay? And let us know when the singles DO show up there and where they are. That way, others who stop by here will know what's available and where.

It's wonderful to know that just as Meat said the other day, there seem to be plenty of the albums around! That's great news--after last week!!

Good evening from sunny Florida! I've sent off a few dozen email messages to UK radio stations, thanks for the email addresses everyone! Now I just wait patiently for my postman to deliver my singles and full CD this week! Oy, couldn't air mail be a BIT faster!

Default COLLECTOR THREAD POSTED

Thanks Rainer, I've posted the thread .. over to you

Re emailing Radio Stations, the urls are fine as you have to complete on-line. And I think most have spam filters now, so make sure you put a suitable subject heading in.

We'll still maintain our list in ROL. I fear many peole will give up if they have to do the searching I had to do, and many addresses I found were defunct anyway.

What's a way round the spam programmes, if at all? Having a key word on the main thread and getting people to email for lists of addresses using the keyword? I'll be around and don't mind responding to them. What do you think?

Sherrie!! Where you been, girl?? You've been missed!!

Thanks for keeping the emailing going from the States!! That's what I've been concentrating on today, too!

I know what you mean about air mail! I did finally get my notice that Amazon is sending my CD. But it'll take a good week or more, I know, to get all the way to California...So, in the meantime, I'm keeping busy, as it sounds like you are!!

You emailed a number of online stores the other day. Did you ever hear back from all of them? Did ANY have the single? I wonder if it's going to be different now that the album is also released?? One can hope, right?!

Come back and keep us company when you can. Okay? I know you're busy working now.

Talk with you soon.

Hi MB, it's good to know that I was missed. I don't get on as much on the weekends as I have my six year old son practically attached at the hip when he isn't at school and I gladly do things with him then. After he goes to bed and while I'm at work---then I love being here! My husband keeps saying "why are you always on THAT website?"

I got a few emails back from online CD sellers, they each said that they don't stock singles but that they will be offering the full CD. I also got form emails back from several Radio 2 DJ's today, but no "original" information. I can't wait to get my CD, and I am really looking forward to watching the single and CD fly up the charts once people have heard it!

Hi again, Sherrie! Well, you work all week. Of course, you're going to spend time with your family on the weekend! Hope you all had a good Easter!!

Glad to know more of the online stores will be carrying the album! Shame about the single, but at least, that's something.

Did any of the radio DJs you heard from say they were playing CHSIB or would be? Or were they more 'form' letter responses?

I would also like to thank you MB, for your devotion and very kind words.
You are a treasure!
Yes, Dottie, you too..
So many people have come here with one thing in mind, getting this single into the top 40 and as much air-play as possible. It's been great.

Hi, guys! Just got back from lunchtime with the folks! Do you ever stop to think what a strange world this is? I mean, here I am in California and it's 12:30 p.m., for you, Dottie, it's 8:30 p.m. and Mariella, I think you are 9 hours difference from me, so it's 9:30 at night. And here we are, so far away from each other and yet, so very close! The net has changed the world forever--and mostly for the better. Guess I can't say all things are better--hackers, etc. But still, it's an exciting time to be around.

Thank you, Dottie, for keeping us up to date. I'm glad you're sending some off to Australia. I wonder if it's the same situation there that Shane in New Zealand was complaining about this morning--NO SINGLES!! I hope not. But we haven't really heard anything from Australia, have we? Hummm. Hadn't thought of that. There's gotta be folks visiting here from down under. Hope they'll stop by and let us know what's going on. Are you originally from Oz, Dottie or did some of your family just move down there?

Looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow.

Mariella! Thanks, kiddo! Very kind words that touched my heart today. And you already know how I feel about you! I didn't write you back because I wanted you to have the time with your kids and get some rest. You worked hard today--both at your job and for Meat, here. And you've got some pretty exciting days ahead!! But I will write you later and you'll have it when you wake up!

Time differences...

Been quiet today. Bank Holiday in England. Here in the US everyone is back to work, but kids are home from school. I hope, whether everyone has the chance to stop by here to chat and share or not, you are still doing their best to get airplay for the record!! If we don't keep pushing, friends, well, you know the answer to that. And Meat deserves better from us! So, please keep those emails and phone calls coming. There are lots of places now where you can find lists of places to contact!!

And if you hear anything, be sure to come by and let us know.

Speaking of getting back to work, while my folks have their afternoon nap, that's where I'm headed now. But if any of you want to chat, I'll be around....

Talk with you later, friends...
