Default Decadent Wish

Has anyone heard Decadent Wish?
After ages of searching I finally got a copy of this song and I thought it deserved a place on CHSIB.
I really don't know why Meat cut it from the album.

Don't get me wrong I like Forever Young but compared to Decadent Wish, Forever Young should have been cut in my opinion.

What do you think?

Then again I thought Unsaid was a good song and perhaps should have been cut but did deserve its release on the CHSIB single.

Shaun.

You can either buy 'Did I Say That' the single or sign up the the Yahoo group 'meat loaf bat caves' i think and can download the MP3 from there...

The comment about Forever Young is complete rubbish... its a beautiful Dylan song and Meat sings it on par with dylan and Springstene...

Forever young was a special message from meat to his fans as he thought at the time of recording that this would be his last album and it was a goodbye to his fans... now go listen to it again knowing that...

Quite agree... i defentley think that Decadent Wish is more album worthy - and certainly more album worthy that Do It! Why oh why was it cut from CHSIB? - i just dont get Do It! - why it was ever put on the record? (Ok, sure its different, but...) Although, i also think that the producer just didnt know when to end Decadent Wish - and as a consequence, the track tails off with annoying little musical ad-libs (that happens alot on the record), Decadent Wish should just have been cut with the close of Meats vocal "...a taste of your lips." ...in my humble opinion! Hehe! :)

I downloaded it in MP3 format from a pay to download deal. Once I downloaded i deleted the link but it olly cost me £0.99 to download.

If you want pm me and i can send the file to you as i have broadband and it will only take a few mins to send.

The file size is 3.92 MB so be sure you have around the 4MB level free in your inbox.

Shaun!

I agree RSG ... I love Decadent Wish, and it would have been great in Chapter 2. But I couldn't see Meat ending the CD with any song other than Forever Young ... it's absolutely perfect :)

Has Did I Say That been realesed on single hear? I was out the country a little while back so if it were i would have missed it.

How i come to know about it was reading that it was a cut track. I'm still trying to get copies of the other cut tracks.

Also i never said that i didn't like Forever Young, i basically said i like Decadent Wish better.

When FUNHOUSE was announced for release (on ESCAPE FROM HELL.com) they mentioned a song called "Shadowland" (along with six songs that were eventually kept for CHSIB - previously known as FUNHOUSE and TESTIFY). I've always been curious about this song. Is there a way we could find it?

It was one of the songs that was going to be on the original album, but was cut on CHSIB. I'm surprised they haven't released it on one of the CD singles ... has anyone heard it ?

If anyone is vvvvvvvvvvvvery desparate to get Decadent Wish- Just had a check- was thinking about buying the DIST singel because it has Decadent Wish on it - and it costs £14.31 from Amazon.com, and £12.80 from CDUniverse ...hmmmm...much as it is a great song (well I've only heard 30 seconds worth but still it sounds good), I think I can wait ...

I think once you've seen Do It live you will always get that magic image when you listen to the record. It's transformed the song for me!

What's wrong with DO IT. You don't need to see it live to know that it's a good song. It's already a good song. I love it to pieces !! Sometimes, I wish it would go on forever - :)
