I for one can see precisely why you are upset and I do not blame you for feeling the way you do. I think what has happened just goes to show the dangers of people commenting and passing judgement when they do not know the full story. I don't feel that we have the right to demand or expect the full story because at the end of the day this IS a private matter.

I buy a record and in exchange for that I get to listen to that record, I buy a concert ticket and in exchange for that I get to see the show. I don't feel that it entitles me to make demands upon another person just because I have done that.

It's so simple really, people liked patti very much!!!! Me included. As a live performer with meat, she was great. But things change for lots of reasons? This is life!!! There were two huge shows to perform and meat and the rest of the band went and did there jobs. From what I heard the new girls did ok? I can understand people being disappointed etc etc, but I have to say that meat in no way has to explain what happened. Really as a musician and actor I follow meat and buy he's stuff., attend concerts. But that's we're it stops!!! He has a private life and also a business life that has nothing to do with me? Simple. And coming on here to explain what happened ( I'm sure it was not an easy decision ) is something meat in my opinion does not have to do. All the rumours about jim and meat down the years? The same applies = it's between two friends.

Fair enough. But getting respect isn't a one way street.

The assumption that people think its about ONE mail is also a false one. And very clear in the replies in here (although some have been butchered in the cutting room). I think I had it put into the right words, from my perspective, explaining what my personal issues with the entire situation are. Again, bad editing makes it perhaps less clear but the assumption this is about ONE e-mail is nonetheless a false one.

That's such a shame and I'm upset too, Meat! I've been at both shows and both shows were outstanding, not to say beyond words. I've never seen so much power, energy and passion, it's just unbelievable. The two ladies are amazing too, I really like them. Enough said. Love you, Irene.

To be fair Meat has said he is retiring, from touring at least. He stated publicly I believe on here that after the other dates are done it would be a Vegas run then maybe some other US shows with I believe as it was planned at the time a final show in NY possibly Beacon Theatre.

On the flip side initially there were dates in places like SA & the far east / India spoken about that would happen before a Vegas run & they have not happened so if they will or not is anyones guess.
