They've gone back to using the 'Not another moment...' refrain at the end of Took The Words as well, if I'm not mistaken.

It's probably more of a logical thing to do. They've messed about with the arrangement live in more ways than karaoke tapes do I reckon. |

Er... actually that's how they ended it in a live scenario for many years, including (if I'm not mistaken) the original tour and the Dead Ringer/Missing in Action tour, and their respective video releases. I'd also even go as far as to say that the karaoke guys were influenced by the live version in this case

Because he doesn't need to. He has enough knowledge and intellect to make the music sound interesting himself. That's what I reckon anyway. All this musical director nonsense were I think just Micky Mouse titles. I honestly think most of the show direction comes from Meat. That's what I gather from how he talks on the board and from snippets of behind the scene footage. He is more than some puppet which some people seemed to have want to deduce him into down the years. I personally think it is BS and he has a good musical mind to get things to sounds fresh and exciting. He does not need advice from people who try to recreate the magic afterwards.
I've even been wrong about this myself in the past and Samurai corrected me when we found out that Meat was even at the mastering sessions of HCTB, which is very unusual for an artist. I think he is more involved in all stages of his music and his shows than most people give him credit for. |

The only think I liked better from the years with Kasim's musical director stint was adding a distinct ending to "Bat Out of Hell". I consider the song the ultimate live song and have always felt it should go last before the encore. The Kasim era ending just seemed a bit more epic finale to me than what they are using now.

I was trying to pinpoint it, must have been during Buslowe's tenure. You posted great examples. I hated the ending when Kulick was MD and it was just a minute or so of noise that just faded to an end. An epic song needs an epic close.

personally the endings of Bat I never really took notice of. I miss the 4 "Bat out of hell"s that are on MSO, three is just too album cut for me.
