I go in for Surgery on Nov19th... hoping for it to be straight forward, the Dr told us my knee looked completely different than what he has seen before. It was pushed out and to the left. Normally 99% turn in and right. He said it might be nothing but won't know till he get's inside. I am hoping all my tendons can be saved . That is my one fear. If they replace tendons the recovery is much longer !! I am afraid I tore a tendon on that movie Stage Fright, doing a stunt. If I drank Beer I would toast all of you right now !

Interesting about anatomy orientation of the knee. I never knew.

I will toast to you, but the stiffest I have at the moment is a bottle of H2O (it's a work night).

Sidebar: A stunt You are really trying to make me worry!

Request (please):
Do you think you can throw out a courtesy status somewhere, when you are up to it, and after surgery is complete to let all us mother hens off the hook of worry on Nov. 19th? Pretty Please and thank you in advance.

Suz.

As one of the "mother hens" I want to wish you the best of luck with your surgery Meat.

Been a registered nurse for 16 years, I just recently went back to Med/Surg floor nursing a month ago. We get a lot of bilateral knees. I am astonished to see how incredibly advanced ortho has become over the years. I know in my heart you will do just fine. Undeniably a painful, major surgery but I also know, just from being a huge fan, you have what it takes...endurance!!

From my experience, when it's over and you are fully recovered and pain free...you will feel like the six million dollar man with "bionic" knees!!

I watched you run across the stage 8 shows this year in AWE, I can't even imagine what you'll be like in 2013!!

PCA, CPM, and PT are a must! Nurse's orders!

You will be in my thoughts and prayers on Monday and as always.

Love ya!!

xo

It will take as long as it takes Meat, I know it will be really frustrating for you but just take the time to rest up. Maybe you could spend the time coming up with ideas for that sports bar you said about

Fingers crossed all goes well.

It sounds bad, but hopefully your tendons can be saved. I hope your surgery goes well.

Regardless of how long you are out for, listen to the doctors and take the appropriate time to recover. I can just imagine you wanting to rush back to work

I'll be thinking about you. All the best

Mike x

Sending hugs, positive thoughts and prayers your way. You're tough enough to bounce back. Just do what the doctors say, that's the key to a speedy recovery. Get that rehab.
