Default Best Live release of Paradise?

Bit of a tricky one this I think. My favourites: History Of ML Live and Hard Rock Live haven't been officially released so they are out.

Meat Loaf Live is edited to ~~~~~~y,
Special Girl single is poor quality,
BA Live has Katti Mac
I don't like Storytellers,
MSO is good, but there have been much better endings than the Adam Sandler impression
I like the simplicity of 3 Bats Live, but um, just no

So by default that leaves Live Around The World, which has too many visual references in it for my liking but it has to be the one.

If talking about everything available then I think Hammersmith Odeon / Hot As Hell from the Bat 1 tour knocks spots of everything.

Have to say officially: BA LIVE

But if you count everything else: Night at the Proms 2001

the LATW world version is too long but it's still good.

If you can count the History of Meat Loaf live as a release I would say that version because that was around the time I started listening to the loaf and thought the skit was the best one they've produced.

Is the LATW version the same as the one on Rock And Roll Dreams Single 2? That's a really good version - love Meat's introduction to the song too!

Yes, although the single one is edited slightly.

I agree that Night of the Proms was one of the best performances of the song. The History of Meat Loaf Live and Hard Rock Live were awesome too and the version on the 1996 tour was amazing to see. Since these haven't officially been released, I'll go with Live Around the World. It's sad that some of the best live versions of the songs are never released.

What I would give to be able to have a copy of the Proms performances. I really liked that version of Anything For Love as well.

Gawd, Patti really looks like Liza Minnelli in that one. Great version agreed. Meat was rather cool there.

The best version was done on a Dutch tv show called "De show van je leven" which aired in 1998. Supposedly, Paradise is one of the very few popsongs Dutch writer Harry Mulisch can appreciate, so when he was featured on that show, Meat and the band played Paradise in less then 5 minutes. 'twas awesome.

Especially when you compare it to those versions that go on for ages.

Yes it it. Not specifically THAT one, but that arrangement is the best. Preferably just an audio recording though so you can't see Patti's hair!

Then you might wanna check this page out for more details on that particular episode of that show. You could also order a copy of that show there, but I'm not paying 27 euros and 50 cents for a song I don't particulary enjoy.
