Skype it is, but my skype won't open. I tried recording my own own version of "Masculine" today with a new opening but I'm not happy with it so I've stopped recording. I'm also planning on doing "Paradise" with MLUKFC''s very own amethyst.

Is this another insult thread or a "fan" recording project?

Please do, it could be the only proper recording of it we'll ever get

Would anyone object to me doing We're Still The Children, seeing as it's technically not a Meat Loaf song?

I've tried making a backing track of Los Angeloser with audicity and it's sucks big time, and not only that I can't open up a karaoke of Paradise I was sent. So I can't record my vocal. errr I'm so frustrated, but give me time. This thread is awesome, and there's a lot of talent on MLUKFC from what I've heard so far. Keep it up people.

Frying Pan with audacity sucked. I can't get a backing track anywhere for that.

Erm, not at all! Have you heard this?

Also, since I've just reacquainted myself with the Joe's Pub version of OWIF, I'm going to do two versions - the Hair of the Dog version (with bitchin' intro guitars ) and the aforementioned Joe's Pub version (which has a very different piano part.)

I'm guessing you could take either the MSO or 3 Bats DVD, rip the 5.1 audio track and then edit Meat's vocals out of the centre channel, but it's a lot of work.

I've got those mp3's so I could probably do that. Not sure how well audacity would work with live songs though.

I tend to use Goldwave, which is similar to audacity in its functionality and its freeness

Although it'll be of no more help in actually 'creating' backing tracks short of having access to the masters...

I will have them uploaded in a few days. its a slow process since i live in an apartment and singing Meat isn't exactly appreciated at some hours of the day. :)

My recordings are on hold because my voice seems to have gone somewhere else lately. Think i've got a cold.

Expect a flurry of posts because people were expecting you to sing and rumours in the press of poor advance sales of forthcoming recording forcing you to fake said cold and cancel, you have been warned lol

Tell it to come back...has it gone camping for the week?

I smell excuses. But I'll wait in anticipation for your recordings pal.

I'm sure some of these tracks have had their vocals enhanced ...

They're still great to hear though, keep 'em coming.

Here are my covers, recorded on my 16-track. Two of my favorites, Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through and I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us.
