Default My Rockpalast DVD has just died!

Broken up picture and poor sound. First my MSO DVD develops clicks and now this! Are Meat's DVD's done on the cheap or am I just extremely unlucky?

Before anyone asks, no I haven't been using it as a frisby or wiping my arse on it.

I've had my MSO Disk since 7th grade. Still plays great.

I have had the Rockpalast DVD since I got it from the UK back when it came out a year or so ago and it still plays fine.

Its probably punishing you for actually not needing to ship overseas to acquire Johnny B goode and River Deep....

As for MSO, Its probably cause you've over played it. Understandable, its a fantastic show.

Your 3 Bats Disk has 10 years left in it....

I don't play any of them very often, but they are all stored in the same place as the rest of my DVD's and I have no problem with anything else.

Only if you can find it going cheap. It's not worth a tenner.

Why? It's an "all regions" DVD as far as I know - or are you referring to the encoding system?

@ EvilOne: Have you tried another DVD player / DVD drive?

I know that it's missing songs but what I actually wanted to know is what you meant by "universal region DVD player"? The PAL/NTSC or the 0/1/2/3/4/5... thing? I assume you were referring to getting the European version instead of the U.S. DVD and that there might be problems playing it in the U.S.?

no. I meant if you were in the US and wanted the DVD, you should get a universal DVD player so you can watch the PAL Version.

Thats what I have.

Otherwise, its not worth the hassle. The US Disk plays fine, it just sucks.

So you were referring to the encoding system and not to the regional lockout issue?

Video-wise its great and sound wise not so much. It is just not as crisp as MSO or 3 Bats Live.

But Its still good for what its worth. its your only chance to see meat in 1978 action.

Yep. And you get a great bass solo by Mr. Buslowe.

Same here with MSO, started freezing up during "Lemon" several months ago. Does it every time & I keep my dvd's in pristine shape. Haven't checked Rockplast lately.
