Yeah... I'm in the party-mood, let's have a cyberparty, he he he....

Friends don't disappear if you have problems. Even if they don't understand, at least they try to. Those are real friends. The ones that don't visit anymore, weren't real friends to begin with imho.

And indeed, internet makes your world larger. I too have met some wonderful people on i-net and managed to build friendships. They're different from RL-friendships, but not inferiour. Just as important, only the communication-medium is different. That's the only difference.

I'm glad people responded to your post, on the forum or through PM. You are a very well respected person on this forum, and I think it's good for you to hear people say that.
Take care now. (and don't get drunk partying tomorrow)

I just wanted to thank you for starting such a great thread and for being brave enough to share your story. i was so moved by what happened and am pleased that you are now doing so well.
Up until last year i didn't talk to anyone, but everyone is so nice on here, it's given me much more confidence. i would never have used forums and chatrooms then, but there is something about this place, don't you think?
I have such respect for people who can overcome something that is so hard and, in some cases, so misunderstood. It’s amazing how Meat’s music got you through, amazing how one person can touch all these people in so many different ways.

Aaah, you guys are the best!!!

Guppie and Mariella--I don't know about my drinking during this. I think maybe I'd better be "Designated Driver" for the day! (Do you also have that in your country--where one person at a party doesn't drink so that they can drive everyone else home safely??)

Besides, friends, I have to admit I am an EASY drunk, I'm sorry to say. Half a glass of nearly anything and I start to get silly!

But then, it IS impolite to NOT toast our birthday boy, isn't it??!!

Hey, Vicki! The great thing is that we get to party a lot longer than everybody else!! :

WOH: Do you think he will EVER really answer that question???

Nah....

Love to you,
MB

We DO... the person not drinking, driving the rest home safely, is called the "BOB". My daughter just got her driving-licence and the group of friends is very happy that they have another "BOB"in their midst

I don't mind you getting silly. You go knock yourself out on Meat's birthday

Well, sometimes I seem to change my mind Pretty fast. This is TOO much fun to leave. Have to be up at 7, but who cares! This is a special day!
I want to toast with everybody here, and that includes you, MB...just one!
If you wouldn't be drinking all evening/day, in Holland we would call you BOB...that is not a 'good' name for you, I think...

Let's have fun!

Mariella

...Nah, don't think we should expect an answer to That question

Thanks, Guppie! But then, you've never seen me silly!

Does the word "Bob" have a special meaning in your country? How did this term come to be called that? Just curious--I love languages!!

And congrats to your daughter. That's always a big thing over here when a person gets their driver's license!!

Love,
MB

Love you,

I don't know what BOB stands for... it was a campaign over here to persuade young people not to drink and drive and it worked.

It really worked. The "BOB" doesn't drink all night and drives the others home safely.

We've got all sorts of meanings for "bob" over here--none related to drinking OR driving, for that matter. Well, wait a minute--maybe to "bob and weave" meaning to move in and out of traffic in a disorganized fashion... Hummm.

Okay, you guys ready for our next Birthday Party Surprise?

Hope so, 'cause here it comes!!!

Enjoy it! It's a GREAT one!!

Go Guppie Go!!!!

Love,

Uh oh! Let me test it, Mariella and I'll be back in a minute. This is just audio--not video, as are several of the clips I have to post here. I don't know why you would get the video and not the audio one.

Be back in a minute or two. If anyone else is having problems, just let me know.

Love,

Whew, I'm just getting here and I've missed out on some serious partying I can see! A toast to the Mighty Michael Lee Aday, on the day of his birth. (OK, it isn't the day of his birth quite yet here in the US, but why give up a chance to wish Meat well?) My toast will have to be a Coca Cola. Quite embarassing, but give me even something as wimpy as 2 wine coolers and I am planning cross country motorcycle trips with complete stranger, a la Easy Rider! Not a good thing! If I had anything "harder" than Coke I shudder to think what might happen!

Welcome, Sherrie! Nice to see you. Hope the puppies are all okay!!

You sound like me when I drink a little something!! Only getting on a motorcycle is probably not something I would do--even if I were drunk!!

I see your avatar is back!! Congrats. Nice to see it again!!
