Talking Fan Club Question

I know that I cannot sign up for the fan club as of yet but I was wondering what a member receives when they are a member?
I am a member of the Shania Twain fan club and you receive exclusive dvd's,t-shirts and other goodies.

Thanks,
Kim xoxo

Although we used to have a "hard copy" part of the fan club, mlukfc is now a purely online fan club.
There are no membership fees, and joining the forum pretty makes you as much as a member as you can be

There are a few pieces of fan club merchandise left that are still for sale (badges, cups, t shirts) but I have no idea of the quantities of stock left.

.net is (was?)something different.
There is a certain displeasure from members of .net as (what the hell, I might as well say it) it was crap .
Perhaps run with the best intention, it wasn't up to standard.
The exclusives members paid for were too few and far between, and quite often these exclusives were latter offered to anyone.
News was not updated as often as it could have been, and it did in fact become a bit of a running joke that news would be posted here by various members long before .net knew anything about it.
There was also displeasure, I recall, with the membership packages.

Thankfully, it looks like Meat has stepped in and is aiming to make radical changes to how his official fan club is run, which will hopefully result in a club that is good value, up to date, and worthy of Meat and the fans.

Until that transaction has happened, details of membership packages can only be guessed at.

Yeah that's right, the official fan club is being upgraded and overhauled and we all hope it will be much better and worthy of Meat and his fans. We are all waiting with baited breath for it's completion.

to be fair, it has to be mentioned that the new fanclub is about to launch for about 1 1/2 years now.

Thanks for the responses!
Yes,I should have been more specific as I was referring to the fan club where you have to pay yearly but has been down to new members for sometime.
I do know that this fanclub is free to members and I am so grateful and really enjoy it here! :)
I am guessing it will still be sometime before the other website is "revamped" and new members will be accepted again

We're hoping it won't be too much longer, Meat would have been under contract with the other company while he was doing concerts and meet and greet packages, now that the concerts are finished hopefully now the new company can take over soon.

It never ocurred to me that contracts might be the reason for the delay Carole. Makes sense i must say.

It does make some sense, explains why it took so long for something to be started and why it's taken even longer for it to be finished.

Wonder if the UK Government managed the contract on Meat's behalf?

Then I would say that Americans are in on the same contract...
