Wrote the car off but I was perfectly happy to get straight into the next one and carry on, but Saturday's incident really made me not want to drive (and be a nightmare passenger  )...perhaps as a more experienced driver now I understand the consequences of things more than I did then so I scare more easily now...either that or I'm just a big wuss!

No, you're right about being more experienced...I've learned to drive pretty late...so I am a very different driver from those that learned to drive at 17...understanding of your mortality does come a bit AFTER 17...
