Default New Star Trek Teaser Trailer

Hi everyone, has any star trek fans on here seen that new trailer? I've just seen it and I'm impressed, never looked forward to a star trek movie quite as much as i have this one for 10 years ,the last movie nemesis was hyped up a helluva lot but was a dissapointment, honestly the last trek movie i actually saw at the cinema was first contact, and that was probably the last decent trek flick IMHO.

Ok, found it, not really that revealing and I'd forgotten it was another of the "we've run out of ideas....I know.....lets do a prequel" films.

I think they'd gone as far into the future as they could reasonably go with the storylines, so i can see the logic behind a prequel, i think it's a great idea.

Personally I think they missed a great film storyline with DS9 and was really hoping they'd do something with the Red Squadron idea after they ditched it to go with the ill fated Enterprise series.

nah, ds9 was crap, enterprise next generation was the best series, although i prefer the later movies to the early nineties tv series.
voyager wasnt bad either.

Looks intriguing. I'll definitly go see it (early 2009 in Europe probably?) if I get a chance. I certainly think the Picard crew and series was the best. The latter series were great and almost every episode was very entertaining I thought.
"First Contact" is my favourite film but I think they messed up quite a bit with Insurrection and Nemesis. Both had good potential, but lacked drama and action. Shame really.

Check out "First Contact", if you haven't seen it. I think it's one of the best sci fi films ever. Patrick Stewart's acting is really good and convincing imo.

Check out the tribute to the sadly passed away composer of the best Star Trek music ever....

Hopefully JJ will get it right!

I've gotta say i didn't really like voyager, although it was a bit dull and they needed to spice things up towards the end it felt like they were just chasing ratings, to the point where in the final season the whole thing felt like rehash of the next generation. I remember the episode equinox where they find the other federation ship, and the situation they were in is IMHO what voyager should've been like, as it was, you never got the feeling that they were ever that far from home or ever really in danger.

I really think they should have done another prequel to Voyager or something, that was one of the best series' they did in my opinion. Janeway was on Nemesis as an Admiral but it would have been nice to see how she got there and whats happening with the other crew members
