Steinman isn't an awful singer - he sure as hell isn't a great singer but he's not terrible...
The problem with a lot of the songs on Bad For Good that he sings is that they're out of his natural range. Rory Dodd's vocal range is a lot closer to what's needed for a lot of those songs but I'm not a fan, nothing to do with tuning or anything I just don't like the sound of his voice |

Anyone Heard jim Sing AFL it was pretty bad, but i mustt admit jim did take "Bad for Good" a little to far, i was listen to an interview and he said he wanted "Bad For Good" to be more succesful than "Bat Out of Hell" and more poweful, but yeah rite as if that was gonna happen Meats Voice is much more powerful than Jims.

Jim Steinman did not sing at the Over The Top concerts in 2005-06. Rob Evan and Jeremy Kushnier did. And to the best of my knowledge, there are no 1989 live recordings of Jim. So I don't know what you're getting at, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
