Okay this is just a thought what if Meat Loaf and Elton John was to make an albom. With Elton singing Jim Steinman songs. And Meat singing Bernie Taupin songs. And do atleast two songs together. I think it would be brilliant!!!
What is your opinion? Last edited by Elijah's way; 22 Jul 2007 at 07:48. |

I'm not sure if that would really work. Elton isn't really my cup of tea but i guess as a one of duet it may be interesting.

It's an idea but i don't think it would come across well at all.
Meat Loaf singing Crocodile rock?! Elton John singing Bat Out Of Hell?! |

I like the idea, Elton is great.
I'd love to hear Meat sing 'Free Bird' by Lynyrd Skynyrd... I think it would sound amazing... |

If there are no really news, people let run their fantasy ... were's the border between reality and science fiction ? Here's my part of "madness" - How about an album like that:
MEAT LOAF His favorite Cover-Versions 1. Da Da Da ( known from TRIO ) 2. 99 Red Balloons ( known from NENA ) 3. Fly Robin Fly ( known from SILVER CONVENTION ) 4. Funky Town ( known from LIPSS INC. ) 5. Mama ( known from GENESIS ) 6. Mary's Boychild ( known from BONEY M. ) 7. Fernando ( known from ABBA ) 8. Rock me Amadeus ( known from FALCO ) 9. Biscaya - Instrumental Intermezzo ( known by JAMES LAST ) 10. Goodbye my love - Duett with Nana Mouskouri ( known by RENEE & RENATA ) 11. Walk on the wild side ( known by LOU REED ) 12. Red red wine ( Known by NEIL DIAMOND / UB 40 ) Hidden Track: 13. Music - Acoustic Version ( known from JOHN MILES ) And now let's close crazy threats like this ... Bye from Kai |

If there had to be any covers by the Meat of Elton's the only ones I can think that would suit Meat would be maybe:
Saturday Night Alright (For Fighting) and Sacrifice And tables-turned.....Elton does Meat (that could be read in so many ways..) umm..Nah...none worth hearing anyway! |

Actually, if Elton were younger and still had that crazy falsetto, I think he could do great justice to Meat's (or Steinman's) songs. It's a little too late now though. Elton has had to transpose everything.

A few people have actually pointed out some sort of similarity in feel between "Surf's Up" (Jim's version) and "Someone Saved My Life Tonight." I think I can picture Elton doing that.
But another duets album...no. |
