Default Do we have a fave TV show thread?...

If not, here it is!

In no order:

Life On Mars - just because it's brilliant!!
The Simpsons - well who doesn't like this show?!
24 - Kiefer!!!
Doctor Who - British institution
Only Fools and Horses - another British institution
House - all the rude things he says has me
Hustle - from same people who brought us Life On Mars and
Spooks - UK version of 24, only shorter, and you don't need to rearrange half your year to watch it
Have I Got News For You - a riot

Also watched Torchwood and Primeval when they were on, but wouldn't go so far as to call them favourites yet.

Grey's Anatomy
Life on Mars
and Ally McBeal, but don't tend to watch that on TV since I have most of it on video

Turner Classic Movies - my favorite movies are the classics
Cold Case - the human element in these stories, with the history of the time the crime was committed, is a great combination
Extreme Makeover - Home Edition - the stories of the families are very tough and what the makeover does for their future is fantastic; my weekly weeper
American Idol - when I can get home in time
CSI - 1. Miami 2. Vegas (Lady Heather's due back in May! I think she's best for Grissom.) 3. NY
CBS Sunday Morning - topic variety Americana can't be matched; looking for Meat to be on - they've done Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Neil Diamond, etc.
Law & Order - Criminal Intent - with D'Onofrio
Law & Order - SVU - These stories are definitely true to life; so much so I often can't watch it because it gets too heavy for me
America's Funniest Videos - the animals and the kids are the best.
History Channel on cable

I loved American Dreams, and that was #1 when it was on - for reasons that I plead the 5th.

L&O - Criminal Intent - Chris Noth is good, but D'Onofrio has such an unique character - with plenty of quirks and sensitivities - it does make the show.

I only watch two television programmes. Prison Break and Life On Mars. But now that Life On Mars has finished, I guess it's only one programme!

But I have to admit that I don´t watch any of them regularly on free TV.
When I do, I watch some episodes in a row (got all seasons on DVD).

If parents go out Saturday night I find myself watching Jonathan Creek on UKGold. Have only seen about six episodes, and I do like them. I love how something that seems so strange sometimes has a perfectly logical and simple explanation, while others are more complex and well planned.

Speaking of CSI, after our trip to America last Easter, we began watching the Vegas one just to keep spotting where we stayed: the Stratosphere. My brother hates the Miami one due to Horatio. Last week he would have bought the PC game just so he could kill Horatio, but not when game was £10! Don't really watch CSI unless there's absolutely nothing on. Not keen on Miami either, I don't like the flashbacks. Flashbacks is also one of many reasons why I don't like Lost.

In about the third episode of Shark where he and his team are walking past the Disney concert hall, I walked along that very same street last year! Watched first three episodes, but gave up halfway through fourth cos was tired. It's on at ten on Thur nights after House, and is pretty hard going: first fast talking medical talk, folllowed by fast talking legal talk, the mind can't take two hours of that until 11 at night!

Ooh, also like Blackadder, Father Ted, Fawlty Towers you know those sort of old British comedies that you never tire of seeing.

Bought first series of Life On Mars last week and have two episodes left to watch. Didn't stop laughing the whole episode where they go undercover in the bar!!! Well.....apart from the more poignant parts.
