Bat 3 isn't a true Bat album cause it is suppose to have ML/JS/and TR not other writers....thats proby what has happened....and IACBTM was kinda good but needed more help.

to be perfectly correct, Bat3 has more TR than Bat2.

That's all as maybe ... but this is about Bat 1 re-entering the UK charts this weeks!

Check your facts again: Rundgren arranged and sang backing vocals on 9 tracks on Bat 2.

Strange how a conversation can wander isn't it? Kev posts the good news that Bat Out Of Hell has re-rentered the UK album charts this week, and it quickly descends into a discussion about Todd's involvement in the Bat Albums

Oh, oh!.... To be honest, I don't think the majority of people out there actually care if this Jimmy guy was involved or not.... In fact most poeple you ask would think the BOOH series was a solo effort by Meat Loaf.... There are better and more justifiable reasons to explain why the album has stopped selling.... Some guy who most people have never even heard of not being involved in the production of the album isn't one of them.... Before you reply by saying 'Oh, but little Jimmy is way, way more famous than his big baby brother Meaty because he has his name written at the bottom of both the, Bat 1 and Bat 2, albums in big, tiny, little letters and way, way more people have heard of him because.... because they read the big massive little book that you get with the Cd thingy'.... Just think, who actually gets the praise for these kind of things.... Was it the producer of the 'Da Vinci code' that got all the fame because he was the brains behind the distribution of the book and employs the bestest editors in the whole wide worldy world? And was it the producer of 'Thriller' that got all of the press and was invited to celebrety parties and award ceremonies or was it this little known guy who nobody has ever heard of called 'Michael Jackson'? The fact is.... Jim Steinman may be this awesome guy who wrote Bat 1 and 2 but the fact is, no matter how hard it is for you to comprehend, he is not used during 'most' (and yes I did say 'MOST!') of the promotion for the album because people are generally not interested in that side of things. Meat Loaf is the guy who the music company use to promote the album and it is Meat Loaf who sings on the album.... And that's all the little known public care about. I doubt very, very, very much that the lack of invlovement from Jim resulted in the lack of sales.... Also, Im pretty sure sales will pick up in the near future with the release of the next single.... And the majority of people will not be saying.... 'There's no way i'm buying that single because it's not written by my best buddy Jim Steinmany guy'.

i can only guess monsters loose is selling on its merits.. no jim as u said doesnt matter, all thats needed is a bat title and meat vocals... unfortunatley, a redone chsib with a bat title still isnt producing the goods, so whats it gonna take??? an album with power, drama, passion, emotion, humour, production, vocals, lyrics, grandeour.. the likes of which hasnt been seen since, well, last time meat and steinman collaborated???????
