Question Meat Loaf stage outfit?

I was looking for the ML stage outfit for a while now.
I've got kinda similar looking things, but nothing really matching.

I´m looking for the stage outfit late 70s/early 80s style (the BOOH/DR era).
particularly:
*a frilled shirt with large collar
*a black tuxedo vest
(both in XL) and
*such a red hanky or scarf or however you want to call it.

Do you know any place to get something like that? And no, it´s not on Ebay!

when i go up on stage i use a black leather Jacket and a Dress Shirt . I model myself like the now Meat with the short hear and beer beard. I also recommend you don't stereotype meat. Every tribute does his tux, long hair, and scarf thing. Try being different. put on a cowboys jersey, or a biker jacket like he did in the 80's. i find that a mic stand and my outfit are enough. I would occationaly put on a Dress jacket, but it wont stay on long. use different color scarfs like meat does. if you look , like in his Dead Ringer videos, he has blue and black ones too.

also do some obscure songs like Modern Girl, Promised Land, and Heavy as Jesus to impress your audience. Thats what i hate about meat's current concerts. he plays the basics, not his more obscure songs that are, at times, twice as good.

Just buy a normal white shirt and some wide lace trim from a curtain fabric shop. Get your mum or an aunt to sew the lace onto the shirt - round each cuff and in four rows down the front. Et voila

Heck I got a shirt I bought years ago from Hot Topic that has the long cuffs and frailly lace on the front.....It was part of a halloween custom I wore.. If you want a shirt like it search for 70's tuxedo shirts or for gothic or even vamprie shirts and you may find it

I am looking for those types of clothing too. But I would prefere to look like the modern day Meat - if you know what I mean

Wearing the black shirt (silk shirt is what I think Meat tends to wear ), black wastcoat and black trousers etc...... but without the frills and no long hair (as I don't have long but have short hair)

Will tell you all if I see anything!

Try a fancy dress outfitters or tuxedo hire shop - quite often they have old stock they are willing to sell.

Also, try looking for places specialising in goth clothing - they generally have this type of thing.

gothic stores mostly have just the so called "larp" gothic/vampire/pirate shirts

did even find a shop to sell a Meat Loaf costume, but...nah, see yourself: http://www.harlequincostumes.co.uk/c...sMeatLoaf.html
