Or do you think they sang it live to Todd and Todd told them how to sing it differently and they did?

The recordings from Bat as you and I and the rest of the world know them are not Todd's edits of something that existed on tape prior. They are Todd's sonic creations performed by Todd and Todd's band and a swag of the E Street band as well under the compositional direction of Steinman.

They probably DID sing it live to Todd, yes, and they probably also passed him a very bad quality live to tape demo for reference.

Or perhaps Todd simply recorded the live demo they performed for him. Who knows. Point is, none of this "evidence" bares any relation on the "length" of Paradise as it was conceived before it existed in a recorded state, not least of all becaue as it wasn't recorded it HAD no exact length. It didn't exist on record and hadn't been arranged and performed in a stage show.

None of your beautiful reasons as to why the story must be true make any sense. You are simply saying that the songs MUST have been longer before they were recorded for bat and therefore paradise was 27 minutes. That's absolute nonsence.

Oh, by the way, have you heard Bat out of Hell as it was performed in Neverland? It's actually shorter.

I´ll stay of this arguement as it takes us waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic now, if you want we can continue it in PM, but the box set thread is really not the place for it.

In the most recent radio interview as downloadable on thenakedwire, Meat mentions the boxset again, saying that there are about 4-5 original demos for Bat1 that will feature, and that there are to be around 5 new songs too - 2 of which he already knows he's going to record. He also wants guitarist Steve Luthaker on the new tracks.

Indeed, should be fantastic. I just hope Jim is involved with the new songs this time though.

On the radio show, the DJ asked if the boxset would contain "all of them" to which Meat replied "yeah".... but I dunno, there are 2/3 record companies who have all got to agree on putting out one product lol. I'd rather have the boxset just with the unreleaased material, so it becomes a "companion" piece to the albums.

Dont' see why the other record companies should be against a set-box. IMO you can make hell of money with set-boxes (->Queen best of box).

I´m not to keen about the thing with the Queen box set, but appearantly there must have been problems too, cause afaik it was never released in Germany, I had to buy it from the UK.

Think of the problems with Best of and the BBIS songs....it´s the same here..

if we´re talking about the same thing (Best of I-III in a silver case) then not AFAIK, I had to order it from amazon.co.uk.
Although I´m not sure, maybe they just didnt sell it on amazon.de and the shops where I was looking.

Queen own their whole catalogue, Meat alas doesn't as far as I know. Hense why there are many many ML unortharised compilation albums.

Sweet, I want Steve Lukather playing on the new songs as well. We'll be getting some more than decent guitar solos on this latest batch of stuff with Lukather on board...

...mind you I'm not a big Toto fan. But play he certainly can.
