Sounds alot like a snooze, and almost a cheap novel turned into a movie to me. We'll see, if anything turnsaround I will gladly give it a watch. I don't think anything can compare to Fight Club and Masters Of Horror!

![]() Gotta say, the plot sounds kind of strange, but that's a fact for a lot of ML movies...we'll see what it's gonna be.. |

Well, it's only rumored that ML is in this movie...
Although it claims to be based on a true story, I would still prefer NOT to know who the real murderer is BEFORE movie even comes out... |

Just checked the link Vicki and it sounds like a terrific story to me. I love crime thrillers anyway..Prime Suspect, Cracker, (Morse and Lewis..not sure if they are thrillers precisely) and the Ripley films and novels just to name a few. This sounds like a really gripping film.

I always seem to find Meat's movies end up as straight to DVD affairs lately, he does quite a few independant films which are usually non-cinema releases (not always, but usually). Would like to see him do more Fight Club material, just all depends who asks him, to do so

If Meat Loaf did more roles like he did on House then perhaps he'd get recognised more as a decent actor and be offered bigger roles in big budget movies. Lets be honest, his biggest role was playing a man with tits, it's hardly going to get Spielberg knocking on his door.

spielberg is overrated anyway, I'd much rather like to see him do a movie with Tarantino. I think his twisted humour and slightly over the top acting would do well in a QT movie.

If he does, then I can only presume that the roles he turns down once he's read the scripts are complete dogs, because apart from a few very notable exceptions the majority of the roles he's had, have been in films that are in the "straight to dvd and forgotten about" category.

Spielberg is very good at special FX. Back in the nineties that's what made a good film. Jurassic Park is one of my favourite movies, and the special FX make a big part of that. Today the situation is different. SFX are not that important anymore. Every mediocre movie has acceptable effects, so you cant make an impression with effects, the way you did ten or 15 years ago. Today different things are important, and, IMHO, Spielberg is not really great at them.

And Tarantino is very good at doing "homages".
![]() Can you name a few? What's important today? Bloody, gory stuff a lá Tarantino? Have you ever seen some of Spielbergs early work? Duel, for example? |
