Default 2 Outta 3 Would Be A Miracle!

There's an excellent plug for Meat and the Bat trilogy in an article about the Ashes on the BBC cricket page. This guy seems to know his Meat!

"On the first album in his Bat Out of Hell trilogy, the famous philosopher Meat Loaf once espoused the belief that Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad.

Right at this moment, however, two out of three would in fact be downright astonishing as far as many England cricket supporters are concerned."

"...... fans who have booked trips down under for the final two Tests may be contemplating another Meat Loaf song – Life Is a Lemon and I Want my Money Back."

Read it all here.

The coments make for intersting reading.

Quote:
Going back to the Meatloaf theme,'Not A Dry Eye In The House' comes to mind when thinking about Giles, Jones, Anderson and Harmison.

However, maybe it was a 'Dead Ringer For Love' where Flintoff and Fletcher were concerned.

Considering some of the statements that have appeared in the media, perhaps 'I'd Lie For You And That's The Truth covers it the best.
And many other Meaty ones!

Personally they should bring back uncle Rick - the greatest test cricketer we ever dropped.

Saw those Chris. It's great to see people having so much fun with the Meaty quotes and it's all good publicity!

Look at this bit...

"On the first album in his Bat Out of Hell trilogy, the famous philosopher Meat Loaf once espoused the belief that Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad.

Right at this moment, however, two out of three would in fact be downright astonishing as far as many England cricket supporters are concerned.

It's duplicated. But not that I'm complaining because it's fab.

I think Emma is refering to what I also see.. that the same 2 lines about
2 outta 3 ain't bad", are repeated.

re: "On his first album, in the Bat Out Of Hell trilogy... " those 2 lines are used twice in the same short piece of the article above.

Still.. good use of Meat Loaf song titles and good publicity.

Thanks, Diane. :)

J.

edit: LOL, we were writting at the same time, Emma. :)
