Before voting, please bear the following in mind:

Only one of the above holds the records for most performances at Wembley and the NEC and the fastest sell out at the Royal Albert Hall.

Only one of the artists sends people round with bacon sandwiches for those people queing up for tickets.

Only one of the artists is credited by The Beatles as being an inspiration.

Only one of the artists has had chart hits in the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's & 2000's (Elvis holds this distinction as well)

Only one of the artists was credited by parlophone as inspiring them to sign the Beatles.

Only one of the artists has been the number 1 cinema box office draw 2 years running.

Only one of the artist has had the biggest selling official calendar for 10 years running and has never been out of the top ten calendar sales list!

Only one of them was banned by the BBC as being "too sexy for british TV"

Only one of them imported Britian's first Fender Stratocaster

Only one of them inspired a craze for badges sported by Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, BRIAN MAY and eric clapton.

Only one of them has sold more singles than any other UK artist.

Queen have 26 albums totalling 190 million sales, cliff has over 60 albums and the stopped counting sales at 250 million!

I could go on like this all day!

I forgot - Only one of them was the reason Rik Mayall, Nigel planer et al. got together and was the inspiration for a seminal piece of british television comedy history!!!

I wouldn't dream of it!!

And for the benefit of the person who ahs just collared me on messenger, NO, none of us can in any way view who has voted for who.

And also for their benefit I promise not to threaten to ban anyone for voting for Queen!! They will have to suffer enough by having to live with their conscience!!

Steady on Chris ..... you've missed the cardinal sin. Just look at how Sir Cliff's name has been spelt in the poll!

no doubt it's got to be queen ,hands down

besides you could never do this to a cliff song

INDIAN CURRY RHAPSODY

Naan, just killed a man

Poppadom against his head

Had lime pickle now he's dead.

Naan, dinner's just begun

But now I'm gonna throw it all away.

Naan, ooh, ooh Didn't mean to make you cry

If I'm not back from the loo by this time tomorrow

Curry on, curry on

Cause nothing really madras.

Too late, my dinner's gone

Sends shivers down my spine

Bottom aching all the time

Goodbye onion bhaji, I've got to go

Gotta leave you all behind and use the loo.

Naan, ooh, ooh

This dopiaza is so mild

I sometimes wish we'd never come here at all.

(guitar solo)

I see a little chicken tikka on the side

Rogan Josh, rogan josh, pass the chutney made of mango

Vindaloo does nicely very very spicy

Meat!

Byriani (Byriani)

Byriani (Byriani)

Byriani and a naan

(A vindaloo loo loo loo)

I've eaten balti, somebody help me

He's eaten balti, get him to the lavatory

Stand you well back

'Case the loo is quarantined

here it comes

There it goes

Technicolor yawn

I chunder

No!

It's coming up again

(There he goes)

I chunder, it's coming back again

(There he goes)

Coming back again

(up again)

here it comes again.

(No, no, no, no, no, no, NO)

On my knees, I'm on my knees

On his knees, oh there he goes

This vindaloo

Is about to wreck my guts

Poor meeee... poor meeee.... Poor MEEEEE!

(Guitar solo)

So you think you can chunder and then feel alright?

So you try to eat curry and drink beer all night?

Oh maybe, but now you'll puke like a baby

Just had to come out

It just had to come right out in here.

(Guitar solo)

(slow bit)

korma or dopiaza

bhaji, naan or saag

Nothing makes a difference

Nothing makes a difference

To meeee....

(Any way the wind blows.............shshshsh)

I think "Congratulations" might be in order but "Never Mind". It looks like "Nine Times Out Of Ten" people have gone for Queen but I am quite happy to be "The Voice In The Wilderness." We Cliff fans have to put up with this sort of thing "Constantly." In polls like this "Somebody Loses" but I don't intend it to be me just yet because "You Never Can Tell" and I "Never Say Die"

So "C'mon Everybody", "I Get the Feeling" that there must be more Cliff fans out there so "Please Don;t Tease" and "Help It Along" by voting for him instead of leaving the "Batchelor Boy" "High & Dry."

There's "Nothing Left For Me To Say" and "I Can't Ask For Anything More" but I would be happy for just one more vote because "When Two Worlds Drift Apart" "Some People" are left "Needing A Friend" and that is "All I Ask Of You". Becasue whoever is "The Winner", "Rock and Roll Is Here To Stay" and we shouldn;t take the vote too seriously as "It's All In The Game"

Now that has got to be worth at least one vote????

Chris....i don't need a full paragraph of Queen songs, telling you about the results of the poll...but i'd just like to say that I knew you'd be "The Loser in the End"

(But we still love you Chris! )

No I don't have the Cliff calendar. However I know at least four members on here have pre-ordered theirs!

And yes you probably did hear about a group of angry queen fans - they probably realised by just how much Cliff merchandise out sells Queen merchandise each year!

aaah but one could argue a true fan doesn't need merchandise to appreciate great music
Looking at a poster of Cliff doesn't seem to make him sound any better
