That's as much as anyone knows Rick.

A sad day in the Meat Loaf community that's for sure.

On a plus side I finally get to rid myself of some of the stress the community brings with it. Cause without MOTS there is no need for me to be around as much. I'm sure this will be wonderful news to some though.

I'm actually hoping this means that they are doing updates and that it's not the server that is down.

I found the same email this morning. I was hoping I misunderstood, couldn't imagine MOTS being gone.
No clue why or what happened...

If it is true, it's a sad day indeed for the Meat Loaf community. MOTS was an outstanding international fansite with lots of news and interesting stuff. I couldn't keep up with the forum, but I checked MOTS on a weekly basis.

I just can't figure out what could have happenend and why David and Jules quit..

Maybe one or both of them have finally had enough of all the hassle and mess they got from it. It's not been easy being the most controversial site in the Meat community.

Such a shame.

MOTS was one of the first Meaty websites I ever found way back when...there was always something magic and always something new!!

I would like to say thank you to MOTS though, as it was you guys that made Liverpool '05 so special

A sad day indeed.
I didn't find it stressful though, quite the opposite, a welcomed stress reliever. You could post what you want when you want, without the threat of being banned and for the most part, treating people like adults worked.

Two things for me can come of MOTS shutting down:
1) I can get more housework done
2) I can post more on here (wouldn't that be a bonus )

Please Pud, go for the housework option!!!

Seriously, a very sad day.
I can only hope the people behind it reconsider given time.

I didn't mean MOTS was stressful, I meant now I didn't have to be around to be with the people on MOTS, I could get away from the stress on the rest of it In other words. I'm gonna be off the net and away from the b******it quite a bit.

Yes one of my first thoughts was more housework gets done I don't have to spend each day having to rum around like a blue **** fly getting things done anymore

I'm really saddened, but everything has it's reasons. Hopefully, in the future it will be back for us to enjoy again and that it will all work out. Thanks and take care all..

Love and Cheers..

Although I didn't post much on MOTS I was a daily reader and always had fun next door. So sad that it closed

Of course I respect Jules and Dave's decision.
And Jules' reaction gave me the impression that it's none of our business what went on and what went wrong.
We have to respect that. It is her good right to give as less info as she wants. Oh damn... wish English was my native language, I'm always afraid to make mistakes and people misunderstand me...

But I feel so sad about MOTS no longer being there.. I wasn't active on the forum, couldn't keep up.. but I got some reminders occasionally... and there was always a link to hit..

Could there be a slight chance that MOTS will be online againe some day?
I sure hope so.
I'm tempted to start a "Help MOTS online" thread, but that would not be respectfull, now would it...

Plus I got the impression that Jules and Dave were an excellent team..
About the hassles and irritation: I'm ignorant about that.

Remember: I'm Dutch, blonde and ignorant.

But I sure would like to see MOTS back online. And if things went wrong between Jules and Dave... maybe you guys can sort things out.
I have no clue whether this can or cannot be done.

Okay, this was the ignorant, little Dutchy speaking here...

Apologizing for such a large post, but oh well... I am still in shock I guess. I mean: no more MOTS????

Maybe.. maybe both Jules and Dave didn't know what their site meant and the impact it had on Meat fans internationally.
Well let me tell you in retrospect: MOTS was well respected en well-known througout the world. Have you any idea, how many fans visited my Dutch fansite, after you linked it? The fans that found me, after they found MOTS?

Do you realize that you were a BIG name in the Meat world? A name of importance?

Again: I'm blond, ignorant, no clue as to what went on.
But please reconsider. That's all I ask. Now, I'm the owner of the Dutch fanforum. That's peanuts.
But MOTS.... MOTS was something else.

Sory for ranting. I SO hope MOTS will be online again..

And maybe I don't even have the right to speak here. I visit mlukfc once a week....

But I am really sad about all of this.
