One of Meats solo tracks cut during the Motown sessions, however not a very good song. Meats voice is reasonably strong, and the music starts out good, it sounds like the beginning of a good song. Then the music starts to decline.

Originally thought this was a very mediocre song. Can appreciate it a little more now that I know the lyrics - but the casual listener would not be able to make a lot of them out so that is a minus as far as I'm concerned
I'll give it 7/10 though cause I quite like it |

I know that the song "Jimmy Bell" is a traditional song written by Cat Iron in the late 40's to early 50's, but I haven't been able to find a copy of the different versions. One of the others reasons I don't care for it is, yes, because the lyrics are a little muffled.

I like the solo in the middle of the song. It includes jazz musical elements! But it is blues and I don't like that. It has smokey smell...
My score: 5 (just for the solo) |

It's a characature of the seventies.Very funny. It reminds me a little of Game Of Love, and like that song,Jimmy Bell definatly belongs on a cheesy seventies cop show 7/10. |
