34. Sailor To A Siren
This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!! Sailor To A Siren (8) A fantastic progressive rock 'n' roll! It remind me of some songs by Europe. It's a typical '80's music. The lyrics is same good. My favourite line is the next: "You put a storm inside me, I wanna head for a safer harbor" It's a great metaphor. I don't like as words as we can find in it in other songs, but here they're good. This song is very powerfully! My score: 8 Average: 8.05 (80.5/10) |

I like the hints of mythology in this song; they add a feeling of epicness (it's new word I just made up). I give it a 8/10

INdeed, it looks a bit mythical orso... Like this song. A nice one. Play it often.
Also it is a bit a dream song, i think. I can imagine the complete song in my mind and visualize it. 8/10 |

9/10 for the lyrics alone
Could a siren be the other name for loose woman or mermaid - hope thats not a stupid question, but I seem to remember a siren being a mermaid of old |

A siren is most well known I think form Homer's the Odyessy. They would lure sailors to their deaths with their singing. Odysseus told his men to block up their ears with wax while he tied himself to the mast so they would not be lured.

This song gives me shivers. I have two different versions - one) from the original production by Alan Shacklock, and 2) a re-mastered version by Meat Loaf, Paul Jacobs and Mack. I like the latter one better. Because of the scary BAH-BAH-BAH.... at the start, I give it 9/10.
