Both the double DVD pack and the BOOH Live CD are fine. But come to think of it about the CD/DVD pack:
The CD is fine I guess... but the DVD... it has ONE video of "2 out of 3", 2 other videos (not from the MSO show) and 3 Audio songs + a photo gallery!!!! Now a DVD can certainly store A LOT more than that.... so i'm wondering, are we getting ripped off by the producers? And I'm told that the Double DVD pack is not yet out in Australia, so I have to settle down for CD/DVD pack(getting it from a friend coming down from there). Being in Kenya, there're very limited ways of obtaining Meat Loaf. And just another thought: Why is there no Double Audio CD pack that has the whole MSO show on it? |

What I think is a rip off is the fact that you have the exact same photo's showing in the exact same order in the photo gallery to three different songs, what's that all about?
Perhaps a couple extra music video's or an interview or something wouldn't be a bad idea. Pud |

I'm paying 32 Ausie$ for the CD/DVD which is certainly more than the plain CD, hence calling it a bonus DVD is just fooling the people.
And I still feel that they should have got Meat Loaf - Live with the MSO on a double CD pack which would give the fans more options such as listening to it in cars and so on. The DVD restricts you to a lot of things. |

i have the c.d with the bonus dvd and the dvd itself if you get what i meen, i dont think the dvd is much of a rip off, where i brought it the extra dvd was only £2 dearer so i aint got a problem with that, i think they should have more than one song with the live mso rather than just "2 out of 3" but apart from that i dont think it is much of a rip off.

They are offering their product in slightly different packages, with or without "extra stuff" for different prices. |

I remember buying a DVD single of The Darkness, for their xmas song last year, that cost me 4 pound in asda. that had the video and audio only tracks. It cost me an extra 2 pound only to but the CD and DVD edition of Meat live with MSO. And no where on the front of my cd cover does it say bonus DVD. If people only want the cd buy the cd only version, if ya want bothh then buy the CD/DVD version. Meat is not holing a gun anyone's head forcing you to buy the DVD version, it's down to choice. Three video's, in Dolby Digital, photo gallery, and three Dolby digital Audio tracks, not bad for an extra 2 pound, I don't think.

Don't think it is a rip off. Just a bonus, like said in the post above.
But I DO think that the price of cd's and dvd's in general is a real rip off. I'm still buying cd's and dvd's, but they are so expensive. Think the price should go down with at least 25%!!! But that is my opinion, and btw... i buy all the cd's/dvd's legal |

It's a rip off in the fact that it's NOT a bonus DVD because you have to pay for it, so it's not a bonus at all. But if you put the bonus thing to one side and look at it as a whole and what you pay, then no it's not a rip off.
I do have an issue with playing the 3 audio tracks and them showing the exact same pictures in the exact same order though. That I feel is short changing the fans. Pud |

The cd with the bonus cd cost the same as the one without where I got it from, so I thought I would pick up the one with the bonus, although I still haven't looked at it.

Finally, I heard the CD/DVD for the first time yesterday and I take all my words back. It's certainly not a rip off. I would have paid more for it. Now I havent get the double DVD pack.
It's just simply BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!!! BRILLIANT!!!! It's a pity I can't listen to it in the office, so I have to wait till 6:00PM to listen to it again. |

My thoughts....
I don't think meat's latest releases are a rip off at all. I think the bonus DVD that comes with the cd is quite good and I think it was really made as a teaser for the 2 disc DVD of the show. I've seen many bonus DVDs or DVD singles for that matter that are utter nonsense and a waste of time. This one isn't. I mean there is live music on there that is not released anywhere else so obviously it counts as a good bonus. I think there are enough little extras that came with the two releases in fact that we should not complain. I think it is understandable we have to pay a pound more or so. Even if it was just for the great packaging. 2004 was a great Meat Loaf music year I believe. I'd rather spend 25 quid (cd and dvd release) or even 35 (if I had bought both cd versions accidentally) on Meat Loaf than 25 quid on an over extended Lord of the Rings which may be excellent cinema but which most likely you will only watch in a blue moon. (but that is my personal opinion!) I can understand people being a little disappointed buying the normal cd and then finding there was one with a DVD. Don't want to attack anybody but if there is such a fuss over a couple of quid maybe you should watch the internet time you spend on this board. It costs me 1 pound a day to be on internet (well actually a lot more if you count the computer, the electricity bills, the hard drive upgrades...... bla bla bla). Of all the people /things that rip me off I think Meat Loaf is the least of my worries..... |

When someone hands over money for something they expect a certain service or goods and it's their right to complain if they feel they didn't get them.
A lot of people paid for the live CD only for a short time later (for a little extra money) another live CD was released with a bonus DVD, so obviously they probably bought that as well. Some people myself included felt disappointed that a short time after the CD was released another CD/DVD was released. If I'd and others had known that it was going to be released then we'd have probably held on, waited and saved a bit of money in the long run. Pud |
