Default Meat Loaf and YouTube

I actually gonna give credit to Meat this time. He still wants the majority of the videos on YouTube to be removed but instead of just removing them (leaving the uploader with an infriction or worse) he now replied to the uploaders asking them to remove them. Explaining why he wants them removed. Also telling them he doesn't want to mess up their YouTube account.

Of course I would prefer the videos to be up but this is a nice gester of Meat to the YouTube uploaders. That shows some class.

My video of the "Alternative Version" of "If You Really Want To" was taken down a few weeks ago with no notice or message at all. It's not like its even available to download or stream anywhere official - only ever released on the 12" vinyl single in '83....

I think we all know why he doesn't want concert videos on YouTube.

I don't think that's Meat Loaf. I think that will be Sony doing that. Which makes their compilations and lack of special releases even more annoying.

Incredibly annoying. It was up on YouTube for over 2 years and all of a sudden disappeared. Maybe it means Sony have something planned, but unfortunately I doubt it.

Check who gave you the copyright strike. If it is not Red Pony or the label they have no right and you could contest it. I got copyright strikes revoked by two bit karaoke royalty companies that have nothing to do with the original artists.

Meh, I'm not one for sugar coating. No Meat doesn't sound how he used to, but when has he ever? His voices has evolved over time. Some people hated his voice during the CHSIB era, thought he'd lost it decades earlier when they became a fan. Well I became a fan right before Bat 3 came out, and the first Meat sound I heard was the video for CHSIB.

No, Meat doesn't sound anything like he did during that time, but Caryl nailed it. It's about so much more than the voice for me. I could whine and bitch that he doesn't sound exactly how he did when I first got excited about Meat Loaf, or I could accept what is happening and enjoy the experience that is happening NOW.

Having said all that, I do think that towards the end of this leg, Meat's voice did need a rest. There were some parts of some videos that I was like oh Meat....you're really having to work hard and his voice just wasn't cooperating. So I hope he gives himself some time to R & R before the most important leg of the tour (which is arguably Canada :P)

He's almost 70 for crying out loud. I'm glad he's decided to add the guide vocals so he can sing in a lower key. It's a great compromise, and helps to keep his confidence up for each show, even if his voice is having an off day. And when it's not, it still has lots of power and is exciting for me to watch :)

Nashville concert but mainly the second half. His voice was pretty well gone for a few of the songs, but that's ok. The first half I thought he sounded great.

In any case, I find it amusing that you found the one little thing I gave to WhiteOfHigh to be critical of, when my entire post was in defense of Meat come on!! :P

As i've said and will continue to say, Meat's voice changes, and to me still sounds great and he is exciting to watch as a performer. There's a video of Lemon from 2015 on youtube where he sounds amazing! Like better than the last 10 years amazing and better than 3 bats IMO. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma-ggiZIXwM)

I wouldnt say that. The best recordings of him in the last 10 years were on the LAB Tour, primarily Oberhousen and Zwolt.

This recent tour isnt my favorite but it was fun fro mwhat I saw. Thing is Hes going fro notes he shouldnt be going for.

its best that he keeps the haters off the comment section ,thus why the videos go down.

Still waiting for one video of promised land to show up. really wanna hear that arrangement.

Hmm, I've heard Oberhousen and Zwolt. I thought they were good, but they didn't really stand out to me as much as that show. I guess i'll have to re-listen.

Zwolt?

Interesting that you got the name wrong yet you still correctly spelled a Dutch word.
