Well I ordered mine but wondering if it's from an actual guitar played by Meat as advertised.
Maybe Meat can answer this?

Did it arrive then and were you charged? I think they do say somewhere that overseas orders might be subject to import fees .. If they declare the full value (as I would think they would be bound to with something valued at this level) it is down to whether it gets picked up.

Anything I have ordered from abroad, even had sent by someone I know, if they declared a value in excess of the miserly sum permitted free entry, I have been charged the current VAT rate of the full value plus postage (a total rip-off), either to be paid before they will deliver in the case of Royal Mail, or as an invoice from the carrier (which they follow up!)

They tried to rip me off for VAT on a consignment of sweetener once, which I argued successfully was food and thus zero rated .. but that was quite a tussle!

I had wanted one of these but I was a little but put off by the possible costs of delivery and customs on top of an already expensive bracelet.

I purchased one and they sent it. It was the incorrect one. So they are now sending me the correct one. No customs or other charges were paid on the first delivery..we will see what happens with the second correct one.

Australia has a far less ungenerous level than we do in the UK Anything coming from outside the EU is liable to 20% VAT on the value including postage, packing and insurance:
If marked GIFT over £36
Other goods over £15
Alcohol, tobacco or fragrance of any value

In Australia, although they have revoked the gift concession level, they have raised the import threshold and any gifts or goods (except alcohol and tobacco) do not attract duty or Goods and Services Tax (GST) if the value is less than AU$1,000. So your bracelet would not attract any customs charges .. unless you got one encrusted with diamonds, which I did not see on offer

Here one would be very lucky to have something over $100 slip through the net ; I was charged on a parcel with a declared value of $38 a couple of years ago when the threshold was even lower than £36

Even with the diamond, mine was only $500, well below the $1000
