Thumbs up Vote for Bat Out Of Hell by 12pm Friday 21st!!

Greetings fellow Meatloaf fans

I'm here totally on the blag, I hope you don't mind

I'm one of the finalists in a radio competition - I nominated Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell to be my one song for life and am up against 4 others entries. Here is my reason for choosing it:

"As the opening track on one of my dad's classic home-made tape compilations, it was the defining song that introduced me to the world of rock. Bat Out Of Hell is anthemic, has one of the best intros of all time and is the ultimate song to have in the car. It reminds me of rocking out as a child and how grateful I am to my parents for passing on their love of music to me."

I'm here to ask for your votes so Bat Out Of Hell can win and I if it does I will win a trip to a 5* Rock Retreat in LA for 5 days which would be unbelievable.

If you wouldn't mind voting for me, please go to http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/freeb...hing/vote.html

P.s. every voter is in with the chance to win an ipad mini so there's something in it for you too

Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas

Joy

I would do but the stupid security letters thing isn't working. Typed the right letters in loads of times but it says they're wrong.

I think they're case sensitive if that helps, but if not thanks for trying anyway :)

I'm sure we can let it slide just this once
Welcome to the forum

Tough competition I think from Sweet Child and Bo Rhap, but Bat's the clear winner to me.
Good luck

BTW, as i've edited into Joy's post at the top of the thread, there's a check box you need to uncheck to stop them sharing your contact details with 3rd parties.
If you don't uncheck it you could be landed with a bunch of annoying spam.

The pboblem is that it's a public vote, and there are a lot of people walking round under the impression that Bat isn't the best song ever written.
They are completly unaware that i'm right and they are completly and utterly wrong

I know, particularly people who don't generally like rock but just like Bohemian Rhapsody because it's a party favourite

BoRap is good but it's a random selection of songs cobbled together (probably in the best traditions of Jim Steinman ... ) and doesn't have the coherence and integrity of Bat and its 'story' - the beginning, middle and end - in my humble opinion ...

I adore Bohemian Rhapsody and Queen but Bat really is in a league of it's own

Hey all, Bo Rhapsody won with 37% Nevermind, it was a tough call, but thank you very much to everyone who voted! Looking forward to the tour

Funny really, as Bo Rhap became hugely popular because of Wayne's World, a film featuring Meat Loaf

Sorry to hear Bat didn't get top place, but at least we all know the truth

Queen is quite popular without movie plugins I mean Queen has more of their songs in movies than any other band in the world. Not to say that I don't think that they should have won but lets face it, Bohemian Rhapsody is like their Bat Out Of Hell.
