Default Best live release of Anything For Love?

A vast topic so I sort of view it in two parts: the whole shebang and Meat's regular live version, just to make it a bit more interesting.

My favouritist of them all is from the Hudson Theater (as featured on the Bat 2 Special Edition bonus CD.) I think Meat's vocals and the backing vocals are much better than on LATW, which comes in second place.

Of all the shorter live efforts, I think the Storytellers CD:

MSO, and the one from Berlin in 1996 that I can no longer find the video of are at the top of my list.

I think a special mention should go to the Storytellers DVD version:
YouTube Video

and the 3 Bats version:
YouTube Video

for being particularly crummy.

I love how that first video's snapshot never knew it was that...

But as for me:

greatest to least
  1. Cardiff, 1993
  2. MSO
  3. Brit Awards
  4. LATW
  5. Comic Releif
  6. Hard Rock Live
  7. History of Meat Loaf Live. He Repeats the first verse
  8. Case CD
  9. 3 Bats Live
  10. CHSIB Live CD

I just re-listened them again (I don't listen to AFL Alot and they sound so similar its crazy) and you're right.

LATW is superior though.

History of Meat loaf live, followed by Live Around the world version.

never really liked the cardiff one, even though the majority of the show is good.

I really like the Cardiff one. It's played at a slightly faster tempo than the rest. Meat sings the first verse twice on the History show, instead of the second one.

Yeah, but, in the grand scheme of things: conviction, vocals, and sheer mothertruckin' awesomeness.

Defense rests.

That video seems edited?
~~~~ing awesome though. Love 1993 Meat Loaf. It's when I first got hooked. His expressions, voice, determination and coolness were mesmerizing.
