Default RIP Wendy Richards

I find it quite shocking that the passing of one of Britians best loved actresses Wendy Richards hasn't been mentioned yet.

Perhaps we now live in a society where we celebrate false celebrities like Jade Goody who only became known through a reality show where she shouted her mouth off and made racial slurs. And not actual celebrities like Wendy Richards, who have worked hard all their life bringing enjoyment to millions.

Maybe if Wendy Richards had sold her story of cancer for a bucketful of cash we'd give her more sympathy and recognition. But I doubt someone who has honour and dignity like Wendy would sell their last precious moments of life for a few extra quid anyway.

RIP Wendy Richards.

I couldn't stand her in Eastenders, but she was great in Are You Being Served?

It is indeed a very sad loss, I can't remember her age, but felt that she would have had so much more to give.

And this is from someone who can appreciate her acting talent whilst being neither a fan or Are You Being Served nor of Eastenders.

think this lady was 66 when she passed away, such a talented actress, many roles that were memorable aside from bloody Eastenders.

Thanks fo the laughs

RIP

Sad loss indeed...

I've always said she's my other mother, physically very similar to my own mum, and just as grumpy... (as Pauline, that is...)

Sad news, she had a lot of dignity about her fight and did it very much in a low key manner.

Interesting to note that in this week's Sunday papers is mention of a documentary following Wendy's battle with cancer, to be screened later in the year...

Does this mean we now have to vilify her in the same manner that some people have vilified Jade?
