I reckon that figure is higher in the UK and Ireland.

"You can't plow a cotton field with an elephant in North Carolina".

Sounds like an Al Jolson song

Beer, as all alcoholic drinks, is made by fermentation caused by bacteria feeding on the yeast cells, then defecating. This bacterial excrement is called alcohol.

YUK!! That's what I was drinking all those years! I knew about fermentation, but not the 'gory' details.

"In the 1983 film "JAWS 3D" the shark blows up. Some of the shark guts were the stuffed ET dolls being sold at the time."

That amused me more than it probably should've!

That doesn't surprise me actually. The movie is crap, the effects were rubbish and the ET dolls always did look far too red/pink from what I remember.

"In Bavaria, beer isn't considered an alcoholic drink but rather a staple food."

I like their thinking...

"Every year, 11,000 Americans injure themselves while trying out bizarre sexual positions".

OK, own up

"40,000 Americans are injured by toilets each year".

I'm guessing that some people are included in both categories here

The correct response to the Irish greeting, "Top of the morning to you," is "and the rest of the day to yourself.".

Orcas (killer whales) kill sharks by torpedoing up into the shark's stomach from underneath, causing the shark to explode.

So they could've avoided making the sequels to Jaws if they'd just found a killer whale

Actually, there was a killer whale in Jaws 2.
The dead one that washes up on the beach that had been killed by the shark

Correct.

If that killer whale had read up some facts on that website, it would have kicked that sharks ass

Does this make these facts useful?
