Hi, Chris! You know, there is a whole psychology of color that's been studied. I read a book or two about it several years ago. It was fascinating.

Your car is red right now--Red is a color for excitement, for vital force. It speeds up the blood pressure and raises the pulse. It is the color of love and desire...

Yellow is also stimulating, but in a different way. It is a cheery, attention-getting color, optimistic. It also, though, can affect peoples' tempers negatively, so it might not be a good choice for a car...

Green is primarily the color of healing. It is a calming, refreshing color. It is the easiest color on the eye. A dark green is masculine, conservative and implies wealth...

Purple--if that's a choice--connotes luxury, wealth and sophistication. If it leans toward a violet color, that aids creativity and it's also a mystical color....

Black and white are, of course, opposites, representing authority and power, as opposed to innocence and purity. Black can make a person seem aloof. White is approachable, but sterile.

Blue represents calm, peace, tranquility. If you're feeling stressed, then that's a good color choice for you. Supposedly, it DOES calm the blood pressure, pulse and respiration.

A little off topic (if I'm off topic on an off topic, does that make me on topic? ), when I saw the UK cover of CHSIB, with its blue background, I thought that was not appropriate for a Meat Loaf cover. When one thinks of ML, they think of music which raises the blood pressure, gets the ol' blood pumping, with his powerful voice and even more powerful songs. I thought the red/orange of the European release was much more appropriate and mindful of what/who Meat is.

But once I heard the album and got the feeling for the story behind the songs, Blue made sense. It fit with the mood of many of the songs. Even Green, which we talked about earlier would have been good, since it's a color of 'healing.' Sorry...just a side thought...

Finally, brown (if that's a choice) is the color of earth. Light brown implies genuineness, while dark brown symbolizes the solidity of wood. Brown can also be sad and wistful....

Anyway, those are a few thoughts which might help you to decide your next color choice. You can change it by the mood you are in or the mood you wish to be in.

My bathroom IS yellow. Does this mean I am suicidal?

Now, if you will excuse me there is a large viaduct down the road that I think I will climb.....

What Bren said.

Really don't know if it's true, but I remember reading it somewhere.

Hmmm well if we don't hear from you for a few days maybe we'll find out if it's true

If your suicidal then you must be slightly... ummm... unstable... so I'm really not too surprised that at least 2 of you lot have yellow bathrooms

I'm a little confused here .
Going by what i've read here....
Green is the colour of healing.
Yellow is the colour of suicide.

My bedroom is green and yellow.
Does this mean that I will kill myself and then get better?

Thank you!!! I was just on my way to re-paint my yellow bedroom!! Or at least have some green accents there, to 'balance' things!

But I am not a decorator, so what would I know about this..
