Remember:

www.hmv.co.uk

5 singles cost £17.15 including postage in the UK .. less than half a carton of cigarrettes!!!! And because of our crippling sales tax which is deducted for overseas buyers, it costs about the same including shipping to the USA .. that's less than $26 ..

Remember this "single" has 2 versions of CHSIB PLUS Unsaid, which didn't make the album and is imo lovely, PLUS the CHSIB video to watch on your computer .. hell THAT's worth $17 alone!!!!!!

Let's GO!!!!!!

www.hmv.co.uk

search meatloaf, second page at the top!!

Default Request Airplay for CHSIB

Mariella (or anyone else who wants to do this) a list of UK regional radio stations can be found at the following address:

www.radioessentials.com

Some don't have email/website details, but all have phone numbers.

I've contacted a few of them already, just going to plough through the rest.

Let us know how you get on.

FIREBALL:

Received this from one of the radio stations I emailed about playing CHSIB. (BCR FM is a local radio station broadcasting to Bridgwater in Somerset and surrounding areas. It reaches approximately 18,000 adults each week. Not huge I know, but ....

We would Caryl, but the record company haven't sent us a copy

i think our main objective at the moment should be to get as much airplay as possible as that counts more than sales in the charts.so below are some websites to visit.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2
http://www.koko.com
http://www.kissonline.co.uk
http://www.mtv.co.uk

should be back later with some more!

I'm finding that you gotta try to get hold of who ever agrees/ devises the playlists. Blinking heck it's like getting blood out of a stone. Even when I offered to pop a copy round to a local station they said they wouldn't be able to play it

If anyone is visiting York, I'll be the one driving around in a little red MG with the top down and CHSIB blaring out! All the tourists in York will get to hear Meat one way or another!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, guys! Wow! Wonderful posts!! Great to see this place so busy!!!

Sorry I had to disappear for a while. I had to take my dad to the doctor. But I'm back and ready to work.

I'm SO glad and grateful to those of you who have posted web addresses for some radio stations and also how to search for more! That's where I'm off to next--do my bit and email them!!

Caryl! You know, when I had that Uncle Sam image, I thought to myself that you were probably the only person who could do it justice!! THANK YOU! I LOVE it!

There is some news. Did you hear it yet? Just came down from the Official club that Meat is doing a CD signing on April 25th at the Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street. The time given was 6 p.m. You lucky souls, over there! If any of you get to go, PLEASE pick a spot at the forum and tell us all about it!!

One more quick thing I've been thinking about: You all know about affirmations? When you are determined that something is going to happen, you come up with a saying or a chant and repeat it as often as you can. It's important that this saying be in the present tense, as if whatever it is has already happened--never in the future or it will never take place.

So, as I was sitting in the doctor's office waiting for my dad to come out, I began saying to myself,

"The time has come
for Number One!!"

And it's been playing in my head ever since. What do you all think?? Maybe if we all do this (or a better one, if you want to post it here), we can help this project along even more!!!!

I don't know about you, but I have a great feeling inside that this single (and album) is going all the way to the top!!! Whoo!!!

Talk with you later. I'm off to do some emailing!!! Thanks again, friends. You're the best!!!

Anne, I'm afraid I've already got York covered!!!! I'm the one driving round in the red fiesta with the sunroof open and the window down. Believe me the tourists have had a good blasting of CHSIB, even at 5am when I'm on my way to morning shift at a certain well know chocolate company.

Where in York are you coming? I'll look out for you!

I get noticed in my car with it been a Smart car regardless of what is playing! However i recorded a continous loop of CHSIB on both sides of the tape with an annoucement of "And Now Couldn't have said it better by Meatloaf. In shops now!!" between each balst of the song. Been driving round delivering newspapers with it playing all day!!!

Also had it on in the four newsagents I run with a copy of the single sleeve on the counter so everyone knows what is playing!!!

Every little helps!

Anne & SteinBat,
sounds like the 2 of you have York rocking!

The other day I was at the gas station putting air in my tires, when I heard DIST blasting. Turned around and there was my wife, Jules, getting gas, LOL.

Play it long and play it loud!!!

Forgot to mention, I earlier mentioned a network of newsagents who ahd all agreed to buy a couple of copies of the single. Well they have now finished buying them. Grand total is 185 copies!!!!!! So if you go into your newsagents and they are giving it away with every Mars Bar, don't be too surprised. I think most of them ahve been given to paperboys with instructions to tell all their mates about the single!

Remember I said I work for a certain chocolate company - well its the one in direct competition with Mars!!!! Think I'll let you off this time tho!!

Maybe I should pop up to our marketing team and ask if we can do a Meat Loaf promo!!!!
