One of my friends her and her mom got over 250 pictures and there is a slight bit of me in one. My aunt asked my mom today how much I lost and she thinks I'm 120. If I was that I would be skin and bones, maybe she has some really bad eyes.

I've just done a search online for the second half of this quote (I can't remember it word for word) , and although many places have the first half, nowhere has the second

It goes something like........

"You can never be too rich or too thin, anyone who disbelieves this has never been really poor, or really fat".

Weird that.

Which part of the quote you couldn't remember word for word?

You're, in fact, quoting the quote???

Copy and paste should have worked???

I can't find any reference to the

"anyone who disbelieves this has never been really poor, or really fat"

portion of the quote online, although I do remember coming across the full quote some years ago in a book.

Although many quotes are often abbreviated, it's a little strange that the full quotation should be so hard to find online.

Copy and paste don't work because there's nothing to copy

I've had to ad lib the second half as I can't remember it word for word, but it's words to that effect.

Here is a full quote then...

“A woman can't be too rich or too thin.”

Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor

I've seen attributed to someone else as well.

The full quote being “A woman can't be too rich or too thin, anyone who doesn't believe that has never been really poor or really fat".

I can't seem to find it online though which is strange.

Anyway, I better shut up before I go even more off topic and have to infract myself

I believe Nancy Reagan once said "You can never be too rich or too thin" that might be who you're thinking of

Nancy also said "A woman is like a tea bag, you can not tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water"

If you were a woman whose husband permanently used your makeup...you would come up with even better quotes...

The original quote too thin/too rich is attributed first to Wallis Simpson...but who knows...but I've never seen continuation of that quote...

Yes it was, but FM said he saw it by somebody else not that that somebody else said it first. And no, I've never seen a continuation of that quote either. Sometimes some people use a quote in part of a sentence and add their own bit to the end of it.

And if they are Nancy Reagan...or Wallis Simpson...or even HOMER Simpson...it becomes a quote...

I'm with the don't. Also don't believe people who say they want to marry you. And never agree to marry anybody. Saves a lot of money and a lot of hassel. End of moan. That's just my own personal take on life, obviously doesn't have to - and shouldn't -apply to all. I'm just miserable!! Lol!

Good to see you back and thanks for the vid! Hope you're ok! x

Edit: Vid is ace by the way, some great pics in there!

Definitely DO NOT allow your bride to take your young daughter home from the reception because she (child) is dog tired. And certainly DO NOT stay on, turning the reception into a stag night.

I really can't believe it and I saw it with my own eyes. Why bother go to the trouble of organising a surprise wedding, then getting blotto while your wife goes home alone on her wedding night?

Am I just too old-fashioned, or what?

Yeah that didn't make sense, if that was me I'd be feckin' annoyed !!!

Though you'd find out that characteristic before you'd marry or at least you'd think so !

Because if the groom goes home with her, he just gets in the way while she tidies up and does the dishes

It sounds like a great idea to me, who's up for it next year lads?
