Just starting "Frankenstein" part 4: Lost Souls, by Dean Koontz. Originally there were only 3 books. If this and Part 5, are anything like the first 3, it will be great reading.

Almost finished The Green Mile....of course I've seen the film so know the ending but it's a brilliant read.
Such a Stephen King fan, if anyone's not read them I would 100% recommend The Green Mile, Misery and The Shining |

At the moment i'm in the middle of Cell (the end of the world via mobile phone). I read Misery years ago and think it's an awesome book. The Shining is something else. I read somewhere that SK never forgave Stanley Kubrick for the film adaptation. While that's not always a good indicator of a good movie, it was enough to put me off for long time, which also caused a general negative towards the whole story. Then I caight some of the mini series on TV, and really enjoyed it. Bought it on ebay and watched the whole thing, thought it was great. So then I watched the SK version, and thought it was OK (different from the series, but nothing I could see causing so much offence to SK So the book was recommended to me a few weeks ago, but I still had a stack of books to read, but now i'm coming to the end i'm putting The Shining on my to do list |

Now on to a very fave author, Jonathan Kellerman and his character, Dr. Alex Delaware in Obsession. I'm looking forward to a good read. So far so good. My curiousity is peeked to the hilt ! (Is that the correct usage of "peeked" ? It seems not... lol ... Perhaps it should be "piqued" ... right ? My brain's a bit fuzzy this morning) |

Is that as in tv's Monk (Mr) ? If so, I wasn't aware there were books out about him. I miss him on tv. Imo, the tv show Monk was a nice combo of humor and who-done-it.

Yeah I love Monk, currently rewatching all of it. The books a written by Lee Goldberg, they're on Amazon and some are quite recent. They seemed quite well reviewed as well.

Mr. Monk in Outer Space.
Well the books came today. Never have I got through the first 70 pages of a book so quickly! It's a fantastic read, and is just like an episode of Monk. Written through the eyes of Natalie. It has all the comedy and mystery of the series. Will have to order more! |

My mother-in-law dropped off a stack of Danielle Steel paperbacks not too long ago. I ignored them for a time, and then two nights ago, for lack of anything else, I picked up "Honor Thyself", and now find myself caught up in the mindless but nevertheless entertaining tale she weaves! Oh well.

Halfway through 'Moab Is My Washpot' - Stephen Fry's autobiography part I! Usually I prefer novels, but his writing style is brilliant! Can't wait to start 'The Fry Chronicles' ( the second part )! How cool is that, to write the second part of your own bio with only 54!
