the bad thing is:
The songs dont work the way they do in german, as they do in english. Cusswords, for example, the same words are much worse in german, more "technically" meant. Makes the whole movie to a softporn

People who are no fans of the D wont watch it

I've been in the cinema today to see the german version of the film, and I can assure you that there is no need to worry.
All the songs are as there were, no synchronation. There are subtitles to assure you understand the content, but the songs are as they were.
I enjoyed the film very much and had a very good afternoon.

Article about the DVD release can be found here, including details of the extras available on the disc ... no explicit mention of Meat in the list though

Let's hope that maybe the deleted scenes and the "Making of" documentary will have Meat featured.
