Dank je wel voor het vertalen van de zinnen voor mij Asha.

Een fijne dag verder

Em

Do both
'Een fijne dag verder' and
'Een leuke dat toegewenst ' mean 'have a fine day'

If so would you use them in different situations?

Bren,

Niece and Nephew are also nicht en neef. We do not have different words for them. We do not make a separation in family here.

Friend is vriend.

Em,
Yes they do. Een fijne dag verder is a sentence i would use in more casual greeting, while een leuke dag toegewenst is something I use more to a friend or acquaintance who would be going on a trip or go out.

Hope this helps.
Have fun
Asha

What you wrote there is very funny Bren, You left out a "n" and the entire sentence has a different meaning to me!

It should be: "De zon schijnt"
Doesn't matter but "schijt" means sh*t. and winderig means windy...Ohh well I have a sick sence off humour.

Too much = te veel

Have a great day Bren,

there's only one way to learn a language and that's by not being afraid to make mistakes. In this case it was very funny
Plus you learned another word: Schijt = sh*t

Thankyou Guppie,

Guppie ,Asha,
..i guess what i mean is...i worry that i might upset someone if i inadvertantly, say the wrong thing, and i would hate to do that...that's what worries me.
Don't worry i Will continue....i'm a very determined little bat.

I do not mind you having a laugh at my expense either i don't have the slightest problem with that

I understand. But you're starting to learn the language and everybody is enjoying your efforts. So, If you would say something in Dutch that might sound upsetting or offensive, no one would take it the wrong way, because everybody knows your just learning, and have no wrong intentions. :)

Well Bren, it is hard to learn another language. My english isn't the best.... but still i keep posting and trying. I also know that sometimes i write things wrong, but he..... that can happen, we are only humans. So no problem.

en bren, ga zo door met het leren van Nederlands. Het gaat je goed af, en ben heel trots op je.

Groetjes Tim
