Not that I'm aware of, not seen it myself so can't really comment on it's quality, although I can hazard a guess

Certainly won't have harmed sales.

There's 8 "best of" albums in the UK top 40 charts this week, the "cash in on Springsteen being in the UK soon" release entered at 7 with about the same level of advertising, Cat Stevens was new at 18, and a Mike Oldfield compilation new at 25 ...

Hey Hey Hey!!! I'm the one round here with official figures!!! Who you working for?!?! HAH!!!

Great news on the Meaty front and it's a shame the big man won't see a single penny (Unless EMI pay him for the two bonus tracks?) from this, but at least it keeps him in the charts.

On a sadder note, the Sony run of adverts have now finished as they were pushing it for fathers day

Theoretically, both Meat and Jim should still be making money from the publishing, they get royalties from the songs (both of them were party to Bat's initial publishing deal). On the other hand, whether or not someone at Sony has been doing creative accounting with publishing royalties is anyone's guess, but at this point, hardly surprising.

Theoretically it all depends on whether they signed over their publishing and royalty rights.

It's still great stuff....#10 with a rehashed hits compilation? After all the other compilations over these years?

I'd love to know what it is about the UK and Meat Loaf, and why it has always been one of his biggest markets. Any thoughts? Or should I start another topic for that one?
