Everything is going to be ok...and although it's a surgery, there is still some comfort in knowing when exactly baby is coming.

I am still trying to figure out where 8 Lbs.13oz Casey fitted in...

But: is there anyone on here, who can give me a little idea on the lbs.os thing comparing to kg to give me a chance too to join in here

Good to hear you are allowed to work from home for a while after the birth, Michael! ....assuming you actually are going to make it to do some of that kind of work though....

I'm 99% sure it's different here...

2 pounds are 1 kg where I come from, and it's always been that way

I'll take that 1%

"2lbs = 1kg" is just a shortcut for those who can't mentally multiply or divide by 2.2*

Dave

* yes I know it's not exactly 2.2 either

Just checked Wikipedia:
it is true that the german and the briish pound have two differnt weights. The german one is exactly half a kg, although it's not an official unit of mass, while it is an official one, with a different weight, in other countries. Here it's only used colloquially (sp?). You order a pound of meat for example.

Ah, I see. Varies in the UK too. For example, if you order a pound of meat in Chorley you get 220lbs of lard instead.

Same here, RJ. Hence my question for a ''converter'' and Zina, the .454 kg = 1 pound is a number that rings a bell.

Who from the past can we blame for this
