With all respect, I don't agree Michel, A good video imo is Anything For Love, Bat Out Of Hell (could be way better with sum nice video scenes) & Modern Girl. But most especially of them all, I'd Lie For You.

Objects In The Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are (10)

Can I say anything?

My score: 10

Average: 9.75 (185.25/19)
Can you say anything WOH? The answer is NO. You are absolute correct, but sure say why you like it. Cause the answer is simple. It is an amazing incredible song by Meat & Jimmy. Everything is just down right PURE. I love the music and the words and the vocals. I love how they got guitar and these car sound effects in there, the song is truely in the Meat Top 5! I can't believe this almost never made it on Bat II. The album would have proably an 8 of 10 if this song wasn't on there. This song is truely 11 \ 10. Kenny is also mention in the Dead Ringer album. A Jim Meat album. Maybe (just maybe) Kenny is Jimmy's friend? And that girl at the end, is she also the one from Two Outta Three? That part in the middle, Meat buddy, I hear ya.

The reason I think it is the best video, is becuase I think the whole video tells the story of the song. It has the same emotion of the song.

I lost alot of respect for the song when I heard the version on "Tanz" - known as "Die Unstillbare Gier". Meat's version is nothing compaired to the one on TANZ, but it still makes me cry. Generally, I enjoy them both - and they both scare me (immensely!). 9/10 (*because GIER got more to the point*)

Objects is one of my favourite Meat songs (perhaps in Top 5). It's just a very good song. Nothing further to say.

I found the music for the whole album in a local library, try yours :) Don't try a shop called JG Windows. Apparently "you can't get that book anymore"
I'm telling you, it sounds absolutely great played on piano, even if like me you can't play it with two hands yet :) AFL intro is fantastic, I'm getting there with the two hands The whole thing just sounds amazing played on piano I love it!!!!!! I've never spent so long at my piano before I found it

One day my Dad picked me up from school in my brother's car. I got in and saw the text on the mirror. i read aloud "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear", and Dad said "Oh, that's one of your Mam's favourite songs, that!" I heard no more of it until I heard Bat II properly a couple of years later. I didn't know it was Meat, or I may have listened to it when I got home cos I knew where the tape of Bat II was!!!! Silly Dad!!!! Could have heard that album earlier!!! And when he said it was Mam's fave? It's actually his!!!

The "Tanz Der Vampire" version, as you call it, is the song "Die Unstilbare Gier". But that song only has some influences from Objects, like the verse melody. It's not a German version (like Total Eclipse/Totaler Finsternis), if that's what you think.

Great song. It has alot of emotion in it and it's so strong it's hard to recreate. The video of the song really suits it. The song makes me think of a passion I had which I was really happy about, but it was so big it led to sadness but I finnally found the light again.

You're right in the sense it's an influence - but how much better is it? Still, there are parts missing from OBJECTS... which is a loss. I would, one day, like to see one of the instrumentals from OBJECTS played in GIER at a Tanz der Vampire production. It would be amazing

I bought the Bat Out Of Hell II Picture Show video when I was about 14, and, for obvious reasons, 'Objects...' was my favourite video.

Does anyone know who the delightful young lady who writhes around in the back of the car in the third verse is? She's probably, without exaggerating, the sexiest woman I've ever seen EVER.

you know ... although the idea sounds interesting ... i donīt know, if iīd like to hear it ... the two alone for themselves ... are ... well ... too many thinkgs connected with them ... theyīre both a pain for me ...

however, this 10/10 or whatever thingie ... itīs a good song ... lemme say ... 9,5/10

The best song from Bat2, definitely.

Sad and powerful together.

The video fits the song excellent, too.

The Live around the world version is just awesome! So much power.

IMO Meatīs greatest song after FCOL.

I think itīs because I (and I think most of us) like his music because itīs jsut so emotional and thatīs one of his most emotional works.

10!

I love this song to bits! The live version is even better because the emotion in Meat's voice is undeniable!
