I'm a long time fan of Meat Loaf. Been a fan pretty much all my life. I've looked at this site a couple of times but never actually registered at the forums.

I think that the ammount of promo going on at the moment is generating and rekindling a lot of interest.

Well sorry, Flying Mouse, think this album, even as Bat 2, is underpromoted!!

So that can't be it!

Hi Tim.
I understand what you mean.
If we knew what countries new members live in and when they joined we could make a better guess as to what promo they have seen.
In the UK the national lottery has a lot of viewers,so that alone could boost the membership.
Only other way is to have a start a topic asking people how long they have been a fan and how they found MLUKFC .

The problem is the type of Music Meat Sings doesnt get promoted much at all. Rock Music isn't promoted enough now its all crappy repetative Pop Music like S Club (URGH) and Kylie Minogue and stuff that lasts for about 2 weeks.

I wouldn't worry - I think the promo is really kicking in now. Loads of people have said to me that they have seen the new video, or an advert or something. A colleague at work said he saw the single advertised on tv last night, and my dad says Woolies have an advert in store for the new album, release date 28th April!!!. Meat is gonna hit it big again, and the Uk will see HE IS BACK!!

The same thing is happening here in Holland. The word is out and most people love the single.
A few days ago I was on a train and overheard people talking about CHSIB and that they thought it was a very good song. Ofcourse when I heard that I had to talk to them. That was very nice.

That's right. It's been a slow build up but things are really hotting up .
I think it was last week (or maybe the week before) Carol went to the shop and when she got back she told me that she heard CHSIB coming from a car radio.
we're off and running .

Tss... Meat'll NEVER be old!
I live in a small village in Holland, I know the owner of the local record store well, so I told him to play CHSIB a lot, which he did. He sold many copies and he himself thinks Meat rocks.
I refuse to accept Meat getting not enough attention over here. Mailed 3 radio-shows again today...

What? Bat 2 underpromoted. You are funny, Tim. There was a mass marketingcampaign back in 93 which have started in the early nineties. I think it is one of the biggest marketingcampaigns ever for a record. They did so much research and everything you won't believe it. For a year or 2, 3 a whole team of marketmakers were trying to put the album in the market.
In Holland there were commercials on television for the ablum, so many: "Meat Loaf is back....back into hell....out now!!

The marketing of this album is different but i have to say the strategy is good and not so expensive as the bat 2 campaign.

Hi Bart,
Good day to ya!
I must say over here the marketing for CHSIB is pretty well low key - I'm sure that'll change once we can actually buy the album - then hopefully the promotion will take off with - I know we have Tv Radio etc appearances but there not really what you would call mass audience programmes, hopefully though the best is yet to come :)
