Hey Meat!!

Just watched 51st State - and now trying to find something to settle my stomach after your....dramatic exit!

Great to see some more tour dates confirmed, just waiting for the UK dates now! ( Assuming the tour includes the UK! ), are you planning to play all over the country or just a few venues as in the Fun In The Summer tour?

Hugs and Kisses!!!

Lucy! xx

Shane, Shane, Shane, Shane, Shane ... what ARE we gonna do with you?

Meat, let Pearl give this poor boy just one kiss on the cheek and I swear he'd melt into mush.

Meat

I have a question, not really about upcoming events but they are film and TV appearances.

There is a movie listed on several sites called "The Park" which you played Bummer in. Can you tell me and the ML film buffs a little bit about it?

PS. Will you be appearing in Ontario again for the next tour? I would love to see you in concert again

Default Music question

Being born and raised in Michigan I grew up on the music of Bob Seger. Never was much into Ted Nugent altho I did listen to WRIF on many occasions. My question is regarding songs we've discussed on other lists that we would love to hear you do. Have you performed or done any of Bob Seger's songs? I think I can imagine you doing "Get Out Of Denver" or "Rock & Roll Never Forgets" or a couple of his other songs but I think it would be interesting to hear you do "Come To Poppa". Your thoughts?

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha Shane, I'm wondering did you send Pearl a Valentine's Card? If you hadn't already then you should try to and post via speedway or next time Meat Loaf comes to New Zealand go buy tickets for yourself. And you can give Pearl a kiss in the cheek!
And don't forget this poem:

Roses are Red.
Violets are Blue.
Sugar is sweet.
And so are you.

And I'll teach you how to wink for when you meet Pearl and all you have to do is just move your face right and close you left eye at the same time, you might have to do a few practice runs first then you'll get the hang of it.

This thread is so far away from its original topic that it needs to be back in the General board.
David - I'm sorry. Honestly.

M Bison: What is this `speedway' you speak of?

Late last year (I think it was for Christmas), Jen S from the Loafdom mailing list was collating messages from various people to pass on to the individual band members. I included a messages (and marriage proposal) to Pearl.

If the Meat comes to NZ I will definitely go see him/them. If there are Meet and Greets available, that would be even better!

Default Speedway

Hi Shane, the speedway I was mentioning was the speedway in posting letters to long distance place's in a fast period of time. And that's what the speedway I was reffering to means.

Hi Shane, Jen S. here. Dont think i said this anywhere that you might have seen, but yes of course Meat and the band got their books, I had heard from a few who did get them, so yes Pearl got your message as well :) !

And It wasn't just a book of messages, like i said in the original about it, I was compiling basically a memory book of the year for them -- I have had the pleasure of shooting several of the shows and was able to put together a nice little book for them -- but the first year i did this (although that year i wasnt fortunate enough to have photographed more then just one show, but i used other images to fill it as well then; didnt this time!), i had also included messages from fans and the comments i had received then were about how much the messages from the fans meant to them.

So i knew my photos werent gonna be all that special a thing and wanted the book and memories to mean something more to them again, so that's why i asked if anyone wanted to include a message, as THAT'S what meant so much to the band, and im sure Meat as well. Sorry for rambling :)! Been a little bummed this weekend that my efforts to shoot this weekend's festivities fell through, and i shot NBA last year as well, things just got stricter for this years' unfortunately. Tried though! Alrighty enough from me, take care and again Pearl got the note

Dearest R., could we please try this once again? It seems silly not to have this topic at general messages. How is Meat supposed to find the questions, we can't expect him to read everything.
I don't have a question for Meat right now, a few things come to my mind, but I don't think this topic is for these questions.
I promise not to post anything off topic!! If we all do that, it should work fine!
Have a great day, Mariella

Hi Mariella

i'm pretty sure Meat recognizes this thread, because 1st it gets a bump everytime a reply is posted and 2nd it get marked with a yellow and/or red icon signaling new posts. Do you remember the answering machine post? That one was posted a year ago, i bumped it and you suddenly recognized it.

Anyway, as I don't want a new thread I'm just making this one sticky now.

Hi Meat - Well I'll get back to topic with a question.

Do you ever go back to your Christian roots and sing in Church?
If so what is your favorite hymn or gospel song?

Our congregation is made up of a good mixture of ages and we all tolorate each others tastes in hymns. Love to see you there next time you're in Sheffield!!!
