Mine have to be Priscilla and Never Can Be Too Sure About The Girl, not that I don't like them, just way bottom of my fave list.

Pretty interesting that the songs I never thought people would dislike - including some of my favourites - have appeared in this thread!! Aw well - a Meat Loaf fan never ceases to shock!!!

I started my reply to this almost 10 minutes ago and I can't think of one to put, because for me, each album and it's songs have a different mood and memory attached to them. Off the top of my head I would probably pick something like Execution Day or Man and a Woman - it just doesn't do anything for me - but equally, I bought that album on CD a couple of days after I first met Meat back in 1999 so the memories of that are kinda attached to it.

Welcome to the Crazy Land Of Lucy Loaf!!!

Least favorite. hmm, I do not have a Midnite cd, just an album somewhere in the attic. I don't know any lyrics. And i don't have a recordplayer. So the album really sucks in my opinion. How many songs does it contain? 10? So, i hate 10 songs from the Mighty Loaf.

Most of the tracks on Blind Before I Stop really bite. "Man And A Woman", "Special Girl" and "Rock And Roll Hero" do absolutely nothing for me. Other than that, "You're Right, This Is Filler" and "Unsaid" are pretty high on my Least Favorites list too.

You're so right Carylb - nice to hear from you too - haven't been around so much lately?

And Dottie, it's nice to see you are allowed to use your own name :)

Anyway, I have to say that I skip ALL of Midnight, except the title track and Promised Land.

But I don't like the following songs either:

If This Is The Last Kiss - PASS THE SICK BUCKET!
You're Right, I Was Wrong (To ever sing this) - ok so he sounds good - of course he does, he's Meat Loaf. But PLEASE, NO MORE POP SONGS!!!!!! If I want pap I'll buy Westlife. Well, I won't. But you know what I mean.
Razor's Edge - What?

Anything sounds fantastic live though.

BUT, I love everything on BOOH, DR, BOOH2, 95% of CHSIB, 95% of WTTN, and Modern Girl is fantastic. The other songs on Bad Attitude would have been good without Boney M man producing (why ANYONE ever thought that would work anyway amazes me??!!) Not heard many from IGBBIS, but they sound pretty good.[/i]

Lots are saying they don't like Razor's Edge! Why? Do you hear that plus sound in Meat's voice? I think it's one of the best performing by Meat (maybe Stand By Me and BOOH (Live '87) are better. And this song is typical psychadelic rock song (on the line of Pink Floyd). A little bit progressive, a little bit alternative, a little bit... And the story is deep, you must mean a lot!!! Very lot! It's not a story, it's philosophy! Well, I like it, but what I don't like are the nexts:

1. Burning Down
2. 45 Seconds Of Ecstasy
3. A Man And A Woman
4. Special Girl
5. Do It! (It's an ambivalent song. It's so primitive, very very simple and not Meat-style, but sometimes I like it)
6. MATLAF songs (except Razor's Edge, Fallen Angel and Keep Driving, maybe Midnight)
7. You're Right and Last Kiss, Love You Out Loud and Amnesty Is Granted (these are same)

Frank Farian (the man behind not only Boney M, but also Milly Vanilli) produced Blind Before I Stop, and not Bad Atitude.

Sorry, yes you're right. Got all confused there. But anyway, the point is, it's a lousy idea, whatever he did

If "Masculine" was a person I'd shoot it. I think it has got to be the worst
thing he has ever recorded. There are also some great clunkers on
"Stoney and Meat Loaf". Whilst that album is packed with glittering jewels -
there are parts that made you heave in loathing. Alot of the stuff on WTTN didn't impress me either. I think that is a poor and hurried album and should not be remembered. But "Masculine" is the biggest of the bile. There's also a lot of stuff on MIDNIGHT as well, but we won't go there.

your right about WTTN: hurried. I got the same feeling. But also he recorded it, i think, during or right after the bat2 tour. And ofcourse Virgin wanted to put anything out real quickly. Even if Meat would have recorded crap, still it would sell millions.

2. 45 seconds of ecstasy. Too short no meat singing!

3. fiesta de las almas perdidas. (huh????) Wheres the words? Whats it doing on his album????

sorry!

mood oday: feminine

There's quite a few stinkers Meat's recorded:

Most of the songs on MATLAF, Blind Before I Stop and CHSIB albums.

I've a few:
Where Angels Sing
Because it's drivel.
It was just slung together as a nice ending to a rushed concept album. It's so unfeeling. I end WTTN at Martha.

Nowhere Fast
Steinman throwaway. With good reason.

I heard BBIS and MATLAF and relised that 70% of it was filler. No thanks.
CHIB never much appeals to me either.
(I'm gunna get stoned for this. . .)
The best thing on it is the intermezzo.

Yes, here's a stone! *throws a big heavy boulder*

Intermezzo is most definatly not the best thing on CHSIB. I thinks it is marginally better than "You're Right, This Song Stinks", which I rank as the worst, way behind the silence between "Forever Young" and "Mercury Blues"
