Camping isn't for life lol, you will always come back to your luxuries, but to each their own, I love camping and it's been far too long since I last did.

If you don't like camping Download has the RIP guest hotel, Its a popup hotel complete with all the mod cons & luxuries you could ask for.
Add on to this considering where Download is in relation to Donnington & Castle Donnington villages it can be faster to walk to some of the B&B or hotels in the villages than to walk round the circuit perimeter walkways to the onsite camping |

No disrespect to Meat but I think the days of him playing the harder rock festivals in the UK are over. Not that I don't think he'd go down well but just think he prob wouldn't want to do them after Knebworth 85 and Reading 88.
In saying that Glastonbury would be perfect. I have been 5 times and it is by far the best festival I have been to. Glastonbury is known for its diverse mix of acts and there is a 'legends' slot on Sunday afternoons for older acts. Kenny Rogers did it this year and they've had Tom Jones, Ray Davis, James Brown and others over the years. I know everyone would say they want Meat to headline but I don't think that he would be everyones ideal choice for headliner (In saying that I saw Rod Stewart do it in 2002???) I actually think Meat would be perfect for the Sunday afternoon slot, songs like Paradise, Deadringer, Anything for Love and Bat would make great sing-alongs. Meat please do this if it is offered!!! |

Download is not the place for Meat Loaf at this point in his career. Nor is Bloodstock.
He would be slaughtered. I could maybe, perhaps, mayhaps see Glastonbury (due to the nature of the artists they usually book), but as for the top two: forget it. |
