At the beginning of Chapter 2 where he's talking to Marissa, and looking at her with obvious interest and yet with kindness and respect - I think he really nailed that. Just perfect.
So very true Kathy- based on that scene I was so hoping for some sort of romantic angle. I guess with the fire and everything there just wasn't time for that aspect of it! Someday, if we are all very good and eat our vegtables, I hope we will be rewarded with a Meat Loaf romantic comedy. That would absolutely be the best. :P Kathy- good luck with the horrid flu- my son and I had it about a month ago and it really was nasty. All that I found helped was lots of sleep, but I guess with that flu you don't have much choice but to sleep a lot. Yuk- I hope you are feeling better soon!

Thanks Vicki and Sherrie for the good wishes. Yesterday I had NO VOICE whatsoever but today I can make unintelligible noises! - so I am getting better. (an interesting side discovery - my cat can understand me when I whisper - I wouldn't have guessed that).

But about the movie - did you think there may have been a Jim/Marissa scene cut out, toward the end of the movie, when they were all trapped in that little room? All of a sudden Marissa is standing up against Jim with her hand on his chest and I didn't see how she got there.

I know what you mean about the ending, Sherrie. The true hero was totally unsung. But it was very romantic, in a tear-jerker sort of way. Maybe they'll make a sequel, where it turns out Jim fell through into the Olympic sized swimming pool on the 31st floor, then catches the bad guy and marries Marissa

You're welcome .. I'm glad to hear you're getting better.
Yeah .. now that you mention it ... one of the scenes may have been cut. But I love your idea for a sequel

I just watched Trapped - I found it really predictable, but watchable. I thought Meat Loaf was excellent in it. He really is a fine actor, and not that I'm biased but I really thought he was the best in the film. was a bit shocking with his exit tho - it's like blink and you'll miss it......

Totally agree, i thought if meat had to go out it should have been with a bit more drama, after all he was really the hero!

There is nothing to add.
I just watched it the first time and was "prepared" to his death. And yes I think this is a good movie. By the way: thanks to this forum and starting watching films in the original version (to hear my Masters original voice ) my english is improving from day to day (Even ifI still struggle with the f*****g grammar sometimes!)

Yesterday I "forced" my boyfriend (I'm always not sure, if this is the right expression: we are a couple for four years now, but not married. "boyfriend" sounds to me like being a teenager) to watch "Trapped" with me.

When Meat (or better Michael Lee Aday) dies near the end he started singing: "...and into the fire, fire, fire" and said "this would make a perfect soundtrack and it will be the first time when an actor sings his own soundtrack"

I'm not a cruel person, but I nearly slapped him in his face

Sorry for saying that but your boyfriend doesn't go very often to the movies...

For example: in "Virtuosity" (directed by the uninspired Brett Leonard) Russell Crowe plays a virtual serial killer... and you can hear one of Mister Crowe's songs when he gets out of a car! Yes, Mister Crowe sings as well... sort of...

completely off topic!

And back in 1987 Meat appeared in a film called The Squeeze with Michael Keaton.During a scene in a night club they play Blind Before I Stop .
It's well worth a look if you can get a copy.Meat is in quite a few scenes.
But that's a whole different topic

Its a "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" death. Really bad way to exit Meats character IMO. Good performance by Meat, however.

The only thing good is the acting and the story line (even though it's a bit of a rip off)

If they changed the script, changed the director, gave it a bigger budget to work on, I think it would be great!!

There's some good acting in it and it is kinda "on the edge of you seat" kinda film, but I hate the way Meat dies!!!

Come on they could of milked it a bit, atleast!!!

This tv movie is awful!

Meat's performance is pretty good (except for the useless and always tempting don't-make-the-same-mistakes-I-did scene!!!).

Meat had much better roles than this one.
Hope they had fun while shooting it. But I doubt. Shooting a movie is always a painful experience.
