Gary Busey is definitely different I don't think Meat has anything to worry about ... except maybe Busey driving him nuts

Oh boy, I've just watched the show. Meat wasn't the only one who got emotional! I can't watch that man cry without crying myself! He did a really great job and when Donald Trump announced the winner, I shouted out a big, loud 'YES!' I felt so happy for Meat and so proud of him. I'm definitely gonna have to have my box of tissues handy for when we see Meat cry again, it chokes me up! Love you Meat. xx

I could not believe some of the things she said, for instance calling being deaf "sad" in front of Marlee the way she did. I'm glad that Marlee didn't let that pass unmentioned in the boardroom. I was also surprised by her diva-ness, along with Star, wanting her name on the cover.
... IMO, it should have been Dionne- I think many of her team are frustrated with her, but are afraid to say so given her "legend" status and her age (which they respect).
I agree wholeheartedly, she's really difficult within a difficult team. I loved it when Trump asked Marlee why she couldn't attest first hand to her (Warwick's) legend status, and she said "I'm deaf!!"

No, I think he's smart enough; in fact, I think his problem is that he over thinks things. I just think he's too serious, and should loosen up a bit and have some fun. (Although I do think he was being a good sport by playing the teacher. )

Trump did fire the wrong person, though

He was very kind to Meat, but he looks like he supports bullies now

I think he kept the people he thought would make "good" TV for the show he produces; those who would fight aggressively, play dirty tricks, behave in a way that provoke comment. So much reality TV depends on recruiting amd keeping in some contestants who cause discord and controversy, which is why I don't watch most of it. When Meat was gently but firmly asking Busey to focus because he needed him to move on with what needed to be done right away, and Busey said very challengingly "Or what?", Meat stayed very calm, using completely non-threatening behaviour, and defused a situation that could have escalated into something. I thought he handled it very skillfully, but afterwards Eric described this with evident enjoyment to camera as "Meat and Gary are at each others' throats; whenever Busey does push Meat to confrontation they will love it. As producers imo they want sparks to fly, and will often keep in people who are likely to disrupt the task and provide challenges to those leading them.

To survive on the Apprentice you need to either be good at the task or good TV, and Camp Trump clearly expect you to fight your corner hard in the boardroom. Personally I don't like Star's management style, but she did lead her team to a win, and she's a real game-player who they'll want to keep in. I don't think Warwick provides anything very useful in terms of helping a task along .. but her behaviour and comments provide a source of challenge and upset, which makes for the kind of TV they want. Lisa's biggest problem was imo allowing herself to be pushed into leading before she was ready, and believing that she would get the level of support and co-operation she needed from everyone; and in the boardroom I think her judges sensed she had lost heart.

I do think Trump was really touched, and perhaps surprised, by Meat's genuine and emotional reaction. I suspect they wanted a "big character" .. they got a man with a big heart. He's also the kind of focused, bright, hard-working person who will throw himself into the task without banging his own drum, who's generally liked, and is like a rock in any team in these shows. That's a far more important contribution than hoping he'll get riled by someone; I think that's what we'll see week after week

yeah,

I am praying praying praying his outburst with Busey doesnt cause anything major to happen. Beacuse Its so amazing that none of the men mentioned Meat's address mistake in the Boardroom.

watch Jose while Meat was asked how he did. He was very happy.
Meat has no enemies (aside from Gary, to a very small extent).

Itll be so heartbreaking if meat gets fired. "Meat, you're Fired" sounds so wrong.

Actually I got the impression that the real problem was that the person they were due to meet was delayed and that led to Meat thinking he'd given the wrong address? Even if he'd given the wrong address, if she was late it can't have caused a real problem. The way he handled the boardroom was impeccable. He was a supportive, liked and successful leader, so his team were behind him.

Meat's a team player, always been a team player, and a good leader. He's the kind of solid, hardworking rock in a team who would be liked I don't think Gary means to be anything of an "enemy" .. It's his tendency to get diverted that cuts across Meat's very clear task-focused approach. Meat brings no ego to the table, no need to be a star in the proceedings or to camera. He doesn't seem to feel the need to "perform" or be "Meat Loaf" unless it directly contributes to the task, for eg when being the household name he is was a "pull" in the Pizza parlour.

I think we won't hear that for a long time .. I hope not even in the final episode

I just finished watching it, I thought Meat was a great leader and did himself and his team proud. I loved how he got so emotional in the boardroom, it brought tears to my eyes too. He is a warm generous man with a big heart. But I hated the way the women treated Lisa, they even admitted they chose her to be Project Manage because they knew she couldn't handle it and wanted to get rid of her. And I too hope we never hear the words Meat you're fired!!!

The only thing that might stand in his way is his temper. He seems to be a very hard-working, responsible, reliable, smart, dedicated and passionate person but he apparently lacks intuition and soft skills in certain situations. I'm not sure if that really endangers his chances on Celebrity Apprentice though. Although a tantrum might alienate people and as much as I dislike seeing someone (especially Meat Loaf) losing it, I think it would be more dangerous to him if he was a calm but sneaky person. He's got certain abilities and character traits that can (hopefully) outweigh his tendency to show anger in such a way. In a real business environment I'd favor a choleric but blunt person over a polite snake (to a certain extent, statements about how soon someone will end up in hospital better shouldn't occur too often ).

We don't know how much is edited, maybe it was mentioned? But I rather suspect it just wasn't important. Things like that can happen, especially under the circumstances they had to work and they achieved a good result in spite of it. I think that's one of the characteristics of good work, to acknowledge that you made a mistake and make up for it. It's nice to see that there was no blame game in this case. I also liked the fact that Meat appeared to be quite modest in spite of the success.

Just had a look at a part of that episode again and noticed the Trump Ice bottles. I don't like the show but I can't help but admire Trump.

Blocked on YT as usual, can't watch it. Seems as if I have to keep on rooting for Busey.
