Yep. I get the feeling that this will be somewhat of an online karaoke. I'm looking forward to someone actually doing their own composition of a song....anyone play the banjo?

It's just so hard to get backing tracks. I would have covered all of Meat's song by now . There is a free program called audicity which you can create backing tracks with, but I don't think it creates good ones in my opinion. I haven't used it in a while but you can put "Bat Out Of Hell" on it and remove the vocals..it really doesn't do a good job does anyone know a better way?

The only people that have a catalogue of Meat Loaf backing tracks are daveake, samurai, and DT. They are the only people I know of.

Not if you are wanting to make a top of the range cover. The karaoke sound destroys the song it makes a rock song sound pop if you get me. To me the real deal is the exact same sound as the record without the lead vocals.

I'm onto it

But I still need a duet partner, and no one has requested to do one with me.

I tried taking out the vocals on "BOOH" with audacity and it sucked. Meat still came across loud and clear... a bit distorted alright. You could use a MIDI I suppose.

I have re-recorded bits on LA (like the speech in the middle I omitted on YT).

I've been working on a version of Only When I Feel for about ...erm... five years now so this would be a good project for me if it takes shape!

I was going to do this and Lost Boys... with a piano playing friend of mine, for the last Nothing But A Merciless Night compilation, but he didn't pull his finger out in time and we missed the boat.

On another issue, I have some rather tasty music software on my PC so if anyone wants a midi beefed up for backing track usage, let me know

Edit: Just listened to Wario's LA, that was a lot of fun!

That's very true Pud, but even though the personalities change the vocals don't. You up for a duet? "It Just won't quit" sums up my 5 year friendship with you.

Wario I will download your file in the morning; it's a bit late to have you blasting out of the speakers I may also have a look at Zodiacs.

Monstro that's excellent news. I'll keep that option open, and I'm sure some people will need more editing than others. I may see will Pudding duet with me on "It Just won't quit" and where is that partner for Paradise I requested??

I could lay down my vocals to the track first, then send you the MP3 and you can add yours.

I think we may have a problem....hmmm. Can you use any sound editing software? Is it possible to sing it live over the Internet, and have it recorded? In this day and age with all the technology I'm sure it's possible.
