There is another consideration here for me...it's my personal thing...

When I see Meat perform...I see a man pouring his heart and soul into every syllable he sings...when I see Pink...I see a dominatrix...lol...

We are talking duets here...Meat's concerts are longer cause there are so much instrumentals, you can make a separate instrumental concert out of it. I understand why it's done (and it's been done for quite a few years now)...to give Meat a break...but it does lengthen the concert...

Hey...we are not disagreeing...we are actually agreeing...as far as I am concerned that would have been a very painful duet on many many levels...lol

Meat might have a two octave vocal range but there's more to a performance than just that...Pink's famed for her high-energy performances in a different way to Meat, if they sang together she was have to tone her act right down for it to work, I just can't see her standing still and singing alongside Meat in the way that Marion Raven did because that's not what she's about

thats exactly what i very badly was trying to say, just couldnt find the right words that wouldnt offend one or the other lol, imo neither are better than the other, just incredibly different.

Thanks for saying it much better

I think we all tried to say more or less the same thing...these artists are way too different on so many levels that contemplation of a duet appears a bit off...

I like some of Pink's material and think she has an unusual voice, however for some reason I can't see a Pink/Meat Loaf duet happening anytime soon and it's difficult to even try and imagine it unless you play Meat and Pink together and decide then if their voices are suited for a duet.... .

Smoggy's right, check out part of a review from Pink's current (sell out) tour......

SWINGING from ceilings, stripping and ten costume changes, PINK sent fans wild at the opening of her Funhouse tour.

The singer kicked of the Cirque Du Soleil-inspired show dressed in a multi-coloured jester-style outfit and launched into Bad Influence from her new album.
Later she stripped off her hefty costume to reveal her famous abs in skin-tight red glittery leggings and matching killer heels.
And when she launched into a raunchy version of the DIVINYLS 1991 hit I Touch Myself, the Grammy-winner left even less to the imagination, emerging in a black lacy bra and grinding herself up and down a red chaise longue.

Then she showed off what she has really been working on for the past eight months.

Spinning round a trapeze in a purple catsuit, with just a pink sticker over her left nipple, Pink burst into Top Ten single Sober.
The audience cheered as she performed somersaults, twists and sang most of the verse dangling from a swing by just her legs.
After seamless covers of GNARLS BARKLEY’s Crazy and QUEEN’s Bohemian Rhapsody, she then got everyone on their feet for her 2002 smash Get The Party Started.
Pink told fans: “I’ve had such a lot of fun this year — and I’ve learnt a s*** load.”
And bought a few new outfits too, it seems...

They're two completely different artists and even with my somewhat vivid imagination I couldn't see them singing together lol

Well you say that, but it all sounds like a bog-standard Meat concert to me ...

Anyway, where I can I get tickets?

If I'm watching a duet performance, I want to see chemistry between the performers. Marion didn't have any chemistry with Meat, and I don't think Pink would either (but she's a great solo artist). Meat sounds best and performs best with Patti.

Yes, indeed.

Doing a "serious" duet with Pink might appear strange but maybe it could work if they did a funny song?

There would definitely need to be a sense of humour in whatever they did together, but unfortunately I don't think it would be taken seriously, I think it'd look like a charity single or some pairing for Comic Relief

I think both artists should probably stay away from each other...Pink seems to like singing songs about her ex and Meat is just trying to make an album (couldn't really come up with a better reason then that)

I just think Meat needs to do his own thing, based on the last time i saw him live i don't think his voice is in the condition where it should be exposed to duets with people who cannot work around him as well as Patti Russo and the band can.
