Tonight is the last bacherlotte party's and the brides maid that is throwing it is going to make my sister where a veil that has condoms glued to it. My sister don't want where it or play the card game her bride maid has in store for her since it is don't do the card take a shot. I'm not going since I don't drive and it's 20 miles away, kinda wanta go but don't drink so it'll be kinda dull for me. My sister don't want to do anything like kiss another guy, where pantys around her feet, excange bras, give out her number, and those are the tame ones they get more worse.

I'd rather a silent wedding reception than play any of the songs mentioned in this thread!

I was hanging out w/my sister and her boyfriend and we were at the maid of honors house with her family. We all had a nice big helping of penis cake. That was something a little different and I brought home to my parents a ball each. Yeah, Pud my sister can be smart at times but she does do alot of dumb things at times to. She said the best time of the night was wearing the vale with condoms on it and trying to glow bowl.

Good call.

Me and Mrs Pud decided to have a 70's fancy dress disco theme party with a rolling buffet and only invite people we liked. That was half our extended families uninvited, no sit down meal with boring speeches and no f'king Cliff Richards. A few people did get a bit uppity about our decisions but since we paid for the whole thing, as they say he who pays the piper calls the tune.

To hell with everyone else, if you don't want someone at your wedding then you don't invite them, it's your special day, end of (joint decision, obviously! )

Pud I'm dying to see your wedding album!

Even if you do invite everyone people will still get uppity about something. At my cousin's wedding, one of my aunts was getting irritated because people she thought weren't as close relations as she was, were sitting closer to the top table than her. But my cousin had gone to a lot of trouble to make sure everyone was sitting with people with whom they would get on well, with the family in no particular order closer to the top table than the rest of the guests. I never care where I'm sitting and am grateful that people have chosen to include me on what is 'their' day, and I think such pettiness is unfair and unnecessary. And as you say, you're paying for it, it's your choice who's invited (and where they sit!)

I really think shite to anyone who has a problem at a wedding...it's the special day of two people and it should be perfect for them, whether that be in a room with everyone they've ever met or alone somewhere. It's their day for them to remember, not to be spent pleasing everyone else

Sinple answer to the seating plan plroblem ... don't have one. Apart from the "top table" let the other guests sit where the hell they want and with whoever they want, that way if they don't like who they're sat with they've only got themselves to blame.

In my younger years I worked for a firm who filmed and produced wedding videos, as such I saw some 25 weddings a year for about 5 years. A fair number of these didn't have a formal seating plan for the reception and the only chaos I saw was the confused look on people's faces when they saw there was no seating plan, once they'd got over that then it was all fine and everyone sorted themselves out.

Just spotted it Zina Now we don't want this going off topic, do we, so..other people's weddings!!!

One of the best weddings I've been to was that of my aunt and uncle I mentioned. My uncle had been married before and had been with my aunt for a good ten years so it was more of a 'grown up' wedding than the big dress and fancy reception. The service was at a register office then we all piled over to the pub belonging to another of my aunt's, stayed there for a few hours then went back to the happy couple's house and fired up the BBQ...it was really casual and so far from anything I'd have thought of, but for a couple of their age it worked wonderfully
