Some moons ago, well, many moons ago, I worked in a factory producing mincemeat. It was one of only two jobs I've walked out on and haven't been able to eat it since or look at maggots in the same way either.

Why not? You can GF suet. I used to make and sell GF and DF mince pies .. and the mincemeat you make yourself is not only a piece of piss to make, but is infinitely better than anything you'd buy in a jar anyway

I didn't know that you could get GF suet but then I'm still discovering what products are out there. I wouldn't know where to start with making my own mincemeat outside of buying the dried fruits (what fruits go into mincemeat anyway?) and the suet.

I'm hopeless with baking.
